I'm a cord cutter and these nvdia's are the best. This is my 2nd 2019 box I bought. The A.I. upgrade is great. Will let the kids use the 2017 model witch still works great. Very powerful boxes. No complaints.

Just upgraded to the Shield from my original FireTV and FireTV Cube. More internal storage. Much faster processor. No lags with opening and running apps. Backlit remote is a nice feature. Very happy so far. Highly recommended.

I love the shield. I was having issues streaming 4k from plex through my roku device. Got the Shield, solved it instantly. The current plex server is an 10 year old laptop that's having issues keeping up with 4k as well. the Plex Media server on the shield hasn't had an issue with those movies. Its based on android, if you're big into youtube, I don't think you should have to worry about losing the app anytime soon. Some of the UI can have a bit of a learning curve. I'm not one that constantly has to change the layout once its set I'm good. A bit more pricy than other streaming options, but I feel its a much better streaming device.

This is the best streaming box on the market. It might be a little pricey but you will not regret the purchase. I have two of them and love them both. Have recommended to ALL my friends.

Very simple to use. Has powerful internals that you can even play video games on. Portable, so you can take it pretty much anywhere. I love this thing! The price is high but the quality is worth it.

Easy to set up. So much faster than my Android TV that's built in. Plex server was easy to set up. Comfortable remote. Huge jump in quality from my old Roku.

This is more plain than the Apple TV, but it has everything we need. It's also a bit simpler to use, and with an excellent, more traditional remote. I haven't gamed on it yet, but it looks promising.

Provides recommendations of shows to watch, by streaming service. You can easily reorder streaming apps from most watched to least. You can easily customize you home page to meet your needs.

1st one I got through Best buy.com. Got a refund and bought another one that work fine. It is a nice streaming box, but I had to take a star away for the DOA. Find your remote feature is cool. But you need to download an app on your phone and make sure it is enabled. Lost one remote already.

Unlike the cheap under-powered Android appliances, this one is not klunky or laggy. The remote control is well thought out and everything works as it should.

Really enjoying this box so far. Upgraded to Android 11 and haven't had any issues so far. The operating system is snappy and easy to use. Ads are there on the home screen but aren't annoying as most people make them out to be. Build quality is great as well as the picture quality! Just purchased this device but am definitely enjoying it as you can do so many more things compared to an Apple TV. Nvidia shield you can sideload apps while on Apple TV you cannot. Highly recommend this item!

Is it becoming outdated? Yes. However, it remains a strong contender among home streaming devices. Although it operates on Android TV (Google's earlier version of TV experiences), it's still impressive. NVIDIA will continue to provide updates, with the latest in January 2025. Its wired networking capability gives it an advantage over other streaming devices, and its compatibility with Steam Link and XBOX cloud gaming is an added bonus for enthusiasts. In summary, it's a worthwhile choice for anyone who enjoys digital media and desires a device robust enough to manage just about anything.
