Love the shield. Runs Kodi much better and easier that my HTCP. My only complaint is remote should have an off button for the TV and the price is $50.00 too high.

I have every streaming device. But this is my go to device for everything that isnt 4k. Its able to upscale 60hz content that is on the live streaamimg channel. The 2019 tube the cannot do this. Plus i was tired of the tube gui lagging. Shield cannot do vc-1 or vp9. Only roku, Google tv and fire tv 4k can decode vc-1. Apple tv cannot. Apple tv hands down best gui. The Ai nvidia upscaling is really that good to warrant a 5 year old device still being relevant.

I love this thing it has all the app's that other streaming devices have and more. it also streams 4k with no buffer through plex firestick will not even when hard wired. I've tried it.

This has become my primary streaming device! Everything comes in crisp and clear . One of the main reasons I purchased this was because I wanted to have the frame rate match the content . This device lets you know when your watching a 24hz video as well as 30 and 60 . I like my movies and shows to look the way they were intended to be viewed. It is super quick and literally as every app that’s currently available. I also use it for movies and videos that I have stored on my external hard drive . You can download VLC player and play it straight from the hard drive. I highly recommend this!!!

Responsive and integrated well into our Home Theater setup with UST projector and receiver. AI upscaling is welcome on HD movies, which I expected, but it even enhances movies from the 80s and 90s that never received remastering treatments, even if the improvement isn't as consistent. The live A/B comparison feature is useful and helps zero-in on the right amount of processing. I was very concerned that oversharpening would be an issue, but the AI is very good at detecting what would create halos and gives great results, especially considering that it is done on the fly.

Works great.Able to turn it on and automatically turn on my receiver and my TV.

Great device if your streaming netflix,hulu, disney plus also great for gaming way better than the fire stick

This is the best you can get out there! Nothing compares to this. Runs flawless and the new control is awesome. If you are planning to cut the cord this is the device you want to get!!

The latest model of Nvidia's Shield Pro is more than a few years old at the time of this review, but the interface is as snappy, if not snappier than your TVs UI. I was having trouble running a smooth Plex server on my gaming PC, but transferring it to this bad boy cleared up any stuttering I was experiencing, even with simultaneous streams.

Nice would have done 5 star but the phone style micro USB can dislodge from weight of cord, relief of this by having cord setup with less direct tension helps. The large memory helps on speed and reduces latency.

This streaming device provides the best picture quality. U also can get Dolby vision, Dolby Atmos & HDR10 if your home theater products provide that.

I’ve been using Firestick to stream my movies and shows but this device is definitely a big step up would definitely recommend it easy to use and way smoother

I’ll keep it short; this is a niche device and has a specific use. Two scenarios; First use case; If you are going to use it ONLY for streaming services such as Netflix, Max, Disney, Hulu, Amazon, etc, then I would NOT recommend this device. The latest ATV is miles better both in picture quality and app stability. Nvidia Shield does not even support auto frame rate matching on these apps. This means you will see judder on any 24p content, if your TV doesn’t process it automatically (most 120hz TVs takes care of it). Also it doesn’t support AV1 format, which means you get no HDR on YouTube. Second use case; You want to go down the rabbit hole. Install Stremio with RD and you’ve got a dream machine. Beats any device in existence for this use case and it supports any lossless audio format with Dolby Vision and HDR10. Also don’t forget to get smarttube ;)

Great device! Plenty of speed and storage. Also love being able to plug it directly into the modem! Works awesome for all streaming needs.

Great addition to any television. It adds gaming and streaming in one small package.

Overall a great device that is way better than what you usually get from smart TVs. The storage a little limited though so that is something to think about.

Wonderful streaming box. Very easy to set up and much better remote than previous version. I have 2 other streaming Android boxes but the Shield tv is far superior.
