While the Shield has been around for a long time it is still the best on the market. Snappy interface, never crashes, easily streams 4k content and has all the apps you could want through the Google Play store. Also, with a GeForce subscription and a controller this can play Steam games through your networked computer.

Total Upgrade!

It instantly improved the video quality and audio resolution from streaming services. Backlit remote is a great bonus too!

Menus are very fast and starts streaming quickly. Nvidia has had a history of supporting the previous unit with updates so would expect that to continue with this version. Since android has basically any app you could want from amazon, Disney+, Vudu, Netflix, Hulu, etc. Highly recommend

Using for a 65" Sony OLED TV; the TV's native interface is laggy - this one is fast and smooth. The images the TV generates as processed by this have to be seen to be believed.
