Best streaming box
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have own one for years and picked up a second one for another tv Best streaming box I have used. I have used at least 3 others popular ones and this blow them out of the water! Fast and plenty of memory for all the apps you want. Yes a bit expensive but we’ll worth the price. Plus games! You can play games on this!

An Absolute Media Beast!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is a complete beast! I love it for not only streaming movies, but playing retro video games with Google apps that allow it. Also Ant Stream works well with the game controller and something to consider (it is like Netflix for Retro games, mostly Arcade, C64, Amiga, etc). Highly recommend this thing, we have 2 now!

Advantage Dolby Atmos from Netflix Disney+
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had Nvidia Shield 2017 but would like to get Dolby Atmos from Netflix and Disney+, and Nvidia Shield has this feature on 2019 model, so I upgraded and really happy with the purchase. The remote is a nice bonus as well. Highly recommended if you have Dolby Atmos capable soundbar or sound system.

The best just gets better!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's true that this isn't a huge improvement over the 2017 version but it is definitely still a improvement. The hardware has a very nice upgrade which keeps the shield on top of the pack. The remote may be the biggest point of improvement, i really like what they have done with it and have actually been able to get rid of a couple harmony remotes so that's kinda nice as well.

Just wow
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After using a firestick for such a long time, I contemplated switching to a shield but the price always held me back when you compare it to a firestick. Finally decided to pull the plug and I haven’t looked back. I highly recommend it

Must have streaming device!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a new 85" tv. It looks great using integrated apps as well. However, I watch 80% sports and espn and the like often only broadcast in 720p. The tv upscales sports OK. But the shield takes it to a new level. If you watch anything that is not 4k you are watching lower quality tv than you could be if you were using this. Worth every penny.

||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For me the best android streamer. I previously owned Google TV, FireTV, Roku and even one of those weird Android boxes an NVIDIA Shield is by faaaar the best. It is pricey but if you want quality the this is the way to go.

Nvidia Shield
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is amazing. Great streaming quality, plus I can link to it easily with my phones or computers whereas some of the smart tv's don't always show up on the laptops or phones to link to.

Works for our needs.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Two reasons this doesn't get 5 stars from me. 1) Using the remote to control everything (Shield, television and Denon receiver) works most of the time, but not always. Sometimes we have to use the TV remote to power on the TV. 2) The dashboard sometimes has "blank" icons in place of the applications. I can hover oven them and select them, but the icon itself is just a gray box. We love that the Shield passes Dolby Atmos through the receiver and Dolby Vision to the TV.

Fantastic streamer that doubles as a console!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nvidia Shield TV is a great streamer! It supports HDR10, Dolby Vision HDR, Dolby Atmos audio, DTS:X, and many other formats. Android TV has so many app options, you won't be asking for more! It has really cool game streaming. The remote is really nice, it is backlight which is rare among streaming boxes. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and recommend it!

Nvidea This Streamers Choice
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nvidea -Shield TV Pro 16 GB, is the best quality, fastest streaming device I have used. Those incude FireTv, Firestick 4K and Roku fast response and no buffering, which is huge. I dont game any more but the grand kids find the choice of games on the system "awesome" which the top faves are Fortnite, and an older but fun Crash Bandiccot

Video fine, hi-res music not so much
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Update 12-22-20: I now have quite a bit more experience with this device and am faulting the hi-res audio hardware a little less as the main problem seems to be a dearth of good music apps containing a good equalizer on the Android TV OS store that supports this Nvidia hardware. I highly prefer the Android Onkyo HF app (has to be sideloaded on this TV OS device) as it works like I do by supporting local folders and has an excellent equalizer- but it has way too many issues to be used on this Nvidia Android TV device (but works great on my regular “non TV OS” Android tablet.) I was able to sideload "Music Player 10 Bands Equalizer Audio Player_v1.1.8" which is fairly stable on this Nvidia hardware, has a reasonable equalizer that works and partially supports how I use my local FLAC music files differentiated in folders based on genre. I upgraded my rating to 4 stars due to this fairly functional app. But to me it is a glaring issue with the lack of significant hi-res music apps on a device that has been around since 2015. So for local music files listening, I will have to use my Samsung S6 tablet with a hi-res USB DAC dongle (and Onkyo HF app) or my Onkyo hi-res music player connected to the AVR which defeats the purpose of purchasing this Nvidia device with a hi-res music player built-in.

Upgraded from 2015 model and happy I did
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is hands down the best device for my purposes as my main way of watching TV. YouTube, YouTube TV, Netflix and Plex (I have a separate device for Plex Server) are pretty much only thing I do. I had the 2015 Pro model and wasn't a fan of the remote volume slider doohickey. Since I finally made the move to a 4K TV it was also time to bump up my android tv box. Pros: • Easy to set up, powerful and smaller than the 2015 model. • Replaceable batteries instead of having to get the "low battery" alert. • Quality build... not some dinky piece of plastic if you don't need a micro sized solution. • 4K upscale is incredible. Cons: • They didn't completely solve the remote issue for me, that Netflix button is way sensitive. I'll find myself hitting the button when picking up the remote and it launches. Exiting Netflix is annoying... choose profile, go to menu, scroll to bottom, tab to the right. Grrr. • Price - its still a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. • 16GB internal HD. Absolutely need more space for app install, caches, etc. But it is very finicky about what you use, I opted for a 2.5" USB 3.1 enclosure with a 250GB SSD I had lying around. No warning about "drive too slow" and plenty of space. All in all a good purchase. It would been nice catch it on sale but I'm impatient and you won't save a much anyhow.
