Nvidia Shield Pro

The picture and sound quality is superior to other streaming devices. You can also download third party streaming software to access movies and television shows. I would recommend a VPN for privacy.

Must buy for a Plex User, not for a casual user.

Any other device would either convert the signal and not work and/or not work at all. The recent updates have optimized the SHIELD to the best it can. Apple TV+ is coming soon for the other Apple Users like me that care about that. It's basically a mini computer. It's that power. The AI-Upscaling is cool too but personally I don't like the effect. All apps and other features work extremely well. HOWEVER the price tag is a problem for a casual (non-Plex) user and I cannot recommend it. Buy a Roku or the new Chromecast. A quarter of the price but the same values and functions.

Great wifi distance. AI upscale is great too. Hell, even the remote is excellent! Get one of these, you will not be disappointed.

The Roku is great but it's very limited as to what you can do. However this Nvidia is amazing! So much you can do.

The Best Streaming Box

Much better than the included LG smart software on my OLED TV. Plus it can run any Android app if you sideload it (small workaround, easily Googled).

Great streaming device

Now paramount works fine and no crashes. Love the fact that you can play games on it. My old games on steam like Quake 2 & Half life 2 just sync to it and work awesome. I also like the 1000 ethernet port to get top speed. Have an older elite plasma tv that's not 4k so I don't know yet how the AI upscaling works.

You get what you pay for...

This device, there was no doubt. The price tag was a bit much, but you get what you pay for. If you need an Android TV box and you have the money, you will not be disappointed...

New remote is WORLDS better than the original. I run a Plex server on my 2 year old original 2nd gen Shield with hardly ever an issue. Newer faster tech will be great for Plex

Amazing Streaming Device

I can tell that patience is a virtue. I installed it together with my PC and watch how to maximize and utilize it to it's potential. I was amazed how fast compare to Amazon Fire TV.

Buying a standalone media player to play apps and stream media is what it does and does it well. Also has some great built in features. You will not be disappointed.

I had a some video content that was coming across choppy with some other steaming devices, have yet to have a problem with the Shield. The backlit remote is a welcomed addition too.
