Had to return the first as it came with many issues but the second one works very well I just don’t think it’s worth 200 bucks. It’s super fast and responsive so that’s a plus.

The Nvidia Shield TV Pro is a really nice unit. I particularly like the AI upscaling as well as being able to plug in a USB TV tuner to use with the live TV application. It’s a great cord cutting solution.

After buying and tinkering around with other Android based boxes and sticks, the end result was always disappointing as they tend to slow down only after a couple weeks of use. With the Nvidia Shield TV Pro, it has been an absolute dream to use. It practically supports almost all codecs for today’s standards. I am able to use it as a Plex server and stream 4K content with ease. The gamestream included is absolutely great as I am able to play games in my gaming rig on my 4K TV with little to no latency (make sure you are wired internet and have a good amount of bandwidth). Overall the premium price is worth the cost as this is the flagship of Android TV.

Super fast interface, wifi doesn't lag like many android tv boxes do. Also has usb expansion for bluetooth devices and external hard drive expansion however unless you're downloading lots of games and tv apps you shouldn't have a problem I've got all the crackle, tube, netflix and hulu type apps I need and still have plenty of room in the internal storage. Interface is like most android boxes and tv's now a days so there isn't much learning curve. Do wish it had more shortcut buttons or programable. Also anyone contemplating this over the older one there isn't much upgrade. Anyone like me who is owning one for the first time it's lightyears away from most of what we've used in the past.

There are two parts to my review here. As a streaming box is highly powerful works well and is overall a joy to use. I would give it five stars as a streaming box and a video game player, which I did not try but I know there’s plenty of games available. Not a huge fan of the remote but the great thing about it is that it works without having to pointed out the box so it’s probably RF orBluetooth or something.
Now my second part of review, which is the reason why I bought it was to use it as a Plex server. Long story sure it did not work for me. All is well as a server until the Plex server decided to stop working and I have no idea why. For the amount of money I paid I cannot keep it just for streaming. Ultimately decided to return it because without the Plex server it was redundant as I already have an Apple TV and the Roku box.
If you looking for an android steam streaming box, This one is the best option available.

Its a beautiful and powerful small android box for streaming movies/tv shows and at the same time play android games on a big screen. I bought this for my home theater I built last month and I am very pleased.

Bought this to use as a replacement for a HTPC in my theater. Works great for streaming 4k UHD etc and less clunky to use that a full PC. New remote is amazing.

The remote is OK. Having a programmable button to must the a/v receiver is perfect. However, exiting out of Netflix, doesn't always work; I have to unplug / plug it back in. I set it so it doesn't sleep for an hour, it still does after 30 minutes. I have to unplug / plug it back in every week or so because it's frozen. After this streamer dies, I'll go back to the chromecast.

I use this mainly for cloud gaming via the Shadow app and it works perfectly for it and the A.I upscaling works great on older video games like F.E.A.R. It gives a slight but noticable boost in details
