If you looking for quality, this is your device, don't go with Roku or Amazon, this has everything, it's fast, it's reliable and fast. Use a good cable, otherwise, you will have issues

While this device was revilutionary on its release it is now sadly overshadowed bu the newer FireTV Cube. While it’s interface is infinitely better, what matters most is how the content is displayed. The new Cube has a cleaner upscale than the shield. If/when Nvidia wants to release an up-to-date shield I’m sure that will again be king. For now, save $100 and get the superior product.

Much easier and better quality picture than streaming from smart tv.

Fast device, reliable, very flexible in terms of gaming/ streaming. Setup is easy for standard apps, games. You tube/ web search will be helpful for retro & game installation.

There are a lot of streaming devices out there I probably try all of them I am most satisfied with this device it's the best purchase in the best stream best out there.

Extremely fast. Very user friendly. I could not be happier with this shield. The design of the new remote is wonderful. Upgraded from the very first shield and coulnt be happier. NVIDIA wins again.

Always have used a fire stick in the past and roku This by far is the best streaming device I’ve owned. The speeds incredibly fast and smooth. Easy to use and get the hang of it.

Really good - works great with atmos and dolby vision

This device is awesome. It streams perfectly, can play games, can mirror computer, etc...I love that it also natively supports almost every video and audio codec. Buy one. You wont regret it.

Best streamer on the market. Works flawlessly. Set up was very easy. I am using it with a Sony A8H OLED TV and the picture quality is awesome.

This is the best android TV streaming box. This can passthrough lossless HD audio such as True-HD Atmos and DTS-X to an audio receiver that can decode these audio tracks. It also supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Digital plus Atmos from Netflix to a Dolby Vision display. I opted for the Sheild Pro version as it can be used as a Plex server vs the non pro version. It also has 2 USB ports and 3 GB of Ram. The updated remote is easy to use and I like that I can change the commands and set it to a specific button. The user interface is very fast. Nvidia continues to support the 2015 and 2017 models and I expect the same for this version.

I have the 1st generation which is still awesome, this just kicks it up. I think they could of up the specs a little more but either way still awesome. The lighted remote is a great add on.

Works wonderfully as a Plex server. I have a NAS that I could mount to the shield to host all my Plex media. The storage needs to be larger though. For Plex to hold all the meta data, I had to connect an external HDD. Use a guide to easily get it set up. I can now have transcoding for the Live TV. Previously used a raspberry pi 3 which worked decent but was slower and couldn’t do the transcoding needed to use it for Live TV and recording.

If you want a great android box for streaming tv, then stop playing games with the cheap ones. Buy this and you wont regret it. I own 3. About to be 4.

We are loving this streaming device because it not only connects to all our streaming services flawlessly, but we can save videos on it to play later when there’s no internet.

I've been using Apple TV for many years. But one thing apple doesn't have is HDD support. I decided to get this and I love it! By installing Kodi and then using an external hard drive, I can see all my movie files. The only thing I don't like is that some external hard drives stay after powering down. So you would have to unplug and replug the hard drive pending on the size of the drive. Other than that, I love it.

I like how all streaming apps are in one place and easy to go from one to another. How easy it is to connect an Xbox controler to play the games offered.
