I installed this great product in my home theater and I'm extremely happy with it. I mainly purchased it as a PLEX server and I've found it to be an awesome performer as a PLEX server. It found and mapped seamlessly to my NAS drive (WD MyCloud) and also does an amazing job streaming Netflix, Amazon and YouTube. I haven't used it for gaming, but I plan to try that feature in the near future.

So far I am enjoying the shield. It seems much faster than the fire cube. Would have given it five stars but settings aren’t expensive and have some me issues when pairing the PS4 remote via Bluetooth.

Of you are in the market for a streaming media player, I would definitely recommend purchasing the Nvidia Shield. User friendly, tons of apps and content.

Easy to use and streams shows quickly. Much faster and easier to use than going through our TV. Definitely worth it for faster streaming services.

this is a beast everything i throw at its fast and i love playing old game from when i was a kid nes,snes,genesis get you will not regret it

I just upgraded to new NVIDA SHIELD Android TV Pro 2019 from 2017 SHIELD TV 4K. I like the upgraded performance for runing PLEX server. More stably and fast.

I dont understand why I waited so long. This thing made the whole streaming experience extremely good. Everything sounded so good. The TV shows that were not so good sounding on fire tv suddenly sounded so amazing in SHEILD tv. This is a must for those who stream a lot of tv shows and movies.

I bought this as an advanced chromecast replacement. It's been nice not having to cast things from a phone. I did have some issues with 5ghz wifi not reconnecting from sleep, but eventually I hardwired this to my network to freeing up wifi bandwidth anyway. Android TV and this unit brings just about every streaming app you'd want (Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Hulu, all major network apps, etc). I also loaded up retroarch to play emulated games, the shield controller is great for this.

Nvidia and Google have made a glitchy mess out of what was my favorite streamer. Software after software update and the device has only gotten worse, not better. Now there are advertisements everywhere and core features like in home game streaming have been removed. I can't recommend this device in 2026.

This is one of the best set top streaming devices you can get. Period. Yes it's pricier but it's worth the additional cost to just have something that works so well.

This is by far the best steamer still available after all these years.

if on a budget the chromecast with google tv is great, but if you want the best, this is it! It's really quick and works as a great Plex server

I have the older model, but recently bought a new tv and needed the upgraded Nvidia shield. Love the new remote and the unit itself is the best you can get.

I have a Apple TV, Amazon firestick and a smart TV.. Let's just say that since I bought my Nvidia shield all those other systems have been collecting dust..

this is my second device,1st one lasted 5years great device gets job done in streaming. would recommend.

Very high quality streamer with many customisable settings for audio, video and gaming as well.

It didn't get much better. All the gaming we need with Stadia, GeForce Now, and Steam Link. This is the best, Keep it up Nvidia.
