The Nvidia Shield has officially taken over the responsibilities that my Apple TV used to have. Once you figure out how to install and navigate through Kodi and all of its repositories you will be very happy that you purchased this little box. The gaming aspect is also top notch. This won't replace your PS4 or XBox but it will come very close.

I got the $199 version and it already came with not only a controller but the remote too! I returned my Apple TV and replaced it with this Nvidia Shield TV instead and I have no regrets.

I've been using my shield for about a month now. I really love it. It's great for streaming games from your gaming pc (ethernet connections work best). You can also install emulators and play retro games. It's also a great streaming movies, tv shows, music, and videos. I use it for Kodi, Nexflix, Youtube, Spotify, and Google Play daily.

Like this product very much! I haven't used it for games yet, but using streaming services like Netflix and HBO go is super fast

Great device to access media on. It's the main way I watch TV currently, replaced my chromecast and native tv apps completely.

This is an amazing box. It came with both the game controller and remote control. I purchased a wetek play 2 and the nvidia shield, and there's no comparison...the shield doesn't freeze up, and it's so much faster, smoother, and a better product. There's a reason why this is more expensive and it's worth every penny!

Great device for streaming movie and playing games

I bought this as an option to view TV via hdhomerun prime. The controller is not as user friendly to use for navigating TV features, I'm not sure the remote will work better (Only have the controller). I also have a Harmony 650 remote but its still not as good, you cant input a channel number for instance. It's setup in the bedroom so I dont use it as often. Ive played a couple of games but not too impressed. I think the product still needs to mature a bit. I wish it has Chrome for internet browsing, I have the old Sony NSZ-GT1 next to it and love its internet browsing capability better.

I havent had my shield tv long, but so far it's amazing!! It Handles emulators like a dream, I couldn't ask for more :)

Best streaming box with a side of gaming. Not meant to replace your console.

This console is great to have but space is very limited..just go with the 500gb version so you don't have to worry about space...3 Android games and that was all I was able to download on this device

This is a great Android gaming machine. Plays every game with no hiccups. Has many apps for streaming video, music and PC games (with subscription).

I have used other Android, and media center boxes. This one outshines them all. It is faster, more responsive, and doesn't freeze. The controller and remote control are responsive. The Google play store has name apps that are compatible with the Nvidia Shield. I would highly recommend the Nvidia Shield

Quality of graphics is great. I liked the sound and video output from it

No buffering, access to the play store cuz it's android, which is always amazing! Also the game streaming service, GeoForce now/Sheild Games, is awesome the variety & they give u 3 months free trial! We love everything about this mostly cuz we got rid of cable & have everything g we need with this device!

I haven't played games but the video performance is excellent so I would guess gaming would also be very good.

I purchased this for living room use. It is super fast and hardly ever lags. I have Kodi installed as well as Playstation Vue. My only grip is that Google Chromecast does not always work but restarting the device usually fixes that. This product came with a video game controller as well as a small thin regular remote control which only has 3 buttons. It's awesome and easy to use once you get the hang of it. I plan on purchasing another soon
