I was surprised at how well the Shield responded to voice commands and how fast it streamed Netflix or YouTube

This device delivers nothing but pure awesome in a box!! It also came with the gaming controller and the media remote as a bonus. Unfortunately, it appears that Nvidia no longer makes or sells the Shield in the 16 or 500GB models. Hopefully, they will unveil new versions soon. Great purchase!

Playing videos games have been easy with Geforce now and its basically android with a actual controller.

This has been an incredible upgrade from using my fire TV.. it's super fast everything loads quickly and you have play store, so all the apps you can possibly want... Really recommend the Nvidia Shield. Also playing games with the controller that looks just like the Xbox one is great..

The box is great device for media streaming. I was able to run all my favorite Android apps on TV.

This is a very good. I use it mostly for streaming kodi and it works great. It has the play store pre installed but it isn't the full version you can only download Center game and apps and a lot of games that are free on your phone you have to pay for on this box. Overall it is a big upgrade from the fire tv stick that I was using before

I purchased this device in early 2016, and it's still running better than most new devices out there. The old/original game controller is too bulky, and doesn't really feel all that great, but it works just fine, still.

I like this product it is almost similar to ps4 the controler The handle is very comfortable

No streaming device can match this one. It's so much faster than any of the other devices. It's compatible with Kodi, Plex, HDHOmerun, Netflix, Hulu, etc! Also has Chromecast capabilities built-in! Finally I've found the one device that does everything we need! :)

I bought this primarily for 4K (and 1080p) Video & 5.1 Audio pass-through support for MP4 & MKV files and streaming video sources. It does play 4K video and passes 5.1 audio if the audio is NOT in AAC format. Perhaps there is a fix for this? H265 videos often use AAC so this limits the usefullness. I also thought I might play games with this but that was secondary. This is not my first Android "TV Box" as I purchased a Remix Mini "Android PC" that plays 1080p video just fine but does not seem able to pass thru the 5.1 audio due to being based on Lollipop (5.1). But the Remix Mini GUI interface is far superior in that it emulates a Win PC Desktop with a start menu. As to the Shield, it does have the horsepower to process and play 4K video. After I bought the shield, someone mentioned the XBox One "S" model which includes a disc player that reads 4K Blu-Ray discs and also plays 4K streaming video. In hindsight I might have gone with the XBox. Also, NVidia is reportedly coming out with a new Shield after the first of the year. Had trouble finding stock on this unit and that explains why. Many Android apps must be side-loaded as they do not appear in the Google Play listings for this box. You will want the stand if you intend to use the WIFI as the reception is not that great with the unit lying on its side. If you are looking for an Android TV this unit currently has the best performance. Just wish it had the Remix GUI interface...

Its good for your entertainments center to watch movies and some minor games

I had originally bought this as a video streamer and intended to use Plex, Netflix and Kodi. I'm completely impressed with Nvidia's GeForce Now service and have been gaming on it more than anything. GeForce Now allows you to stream some older PC titles directly from high-end Nvidia gaming servers. Some games are available for purchase, and there is a growing "all you can eat" library available for a very reasonable monthly service as well. The included controller is comfortable, although a little chunky. Nvidia has issued an update to Android Marshmallow, so you can add an additional external drive or micro SD card and it will show as internal storage; no more moving apps to the SD card one at a time!

I purchased this after hearing such great things about it and what it can do. I purchased the 16gb version and opted to buy an external HD. This is a "tinkering man's dream" you can do ALOT with this. I will purchase another in the future for my bedroom.

I love this product. I use it primarily for streaming video through Netflix and other platforms. I just wish there were more platforms supporting it like Amazon.

I love this, don't really have anything bad to say about it. It's fast and plays games and movies well. I use it when on the road and plug my external hard drive up to it and watch movies when I'm in a hotel that doesn't have the best internet. It's great

worth the purchase, would recommend to a friend. very handy, great product.
