Probably my best purchase ever

Nvidia has amazing customer service also. They will provide support for apps that they don't even develop. They've modded apps for me for use with 3rd party remote controls and have been working on other requests. Unbelievable box and customer service.

I brought it because he loves watching movies and playing games. I brought him a Xbox before and he alreadys either scratch or somehow breaking the games or DVDs. With this device I don't have to worry about that anymore. There's so many games you can download and so many movies to watch.

This is amazing for streaming games

There is also a cloud game streaming service that has some really nice games including the Borderlands prequel. Definitely worth the purchase, though if you have another console or gaming PC already this is probably overkill, unless you are a completionist like me.

Simply The Best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned a Chromecast, Roku 3, Xbox One, and now Shield is by far my favorite streaming box. Amazing selection of every streaming service including VUDU. The only notable exception is Amazon Prime, but you can easily sideload the app to get 1080p streams - I wish you could get 4K but that will have to wait for official support from Amazon.

This is a great machine!

Great apps, like a smartphone only on your tv. Plex and youtube run better here than on a Roku in my opinion. And of course there's Kodi as well. I haven't had any issues with buffering at all. I totally recommend it if you want the Android experience on your tv!

Picked it up in the hopes that it wold be a good unit for Kodi, netflix, Google Play, FoxSportsGo and more. It definitely lives up to expectation and beyond. It's fast and definitely made of high quality materials. The remote is solid and slim. The interface is fast and reliable. Haven't had any issues yet. Worth every penny.
