I received the route for free when I purchased the shield TV. It is handle and responsive when using voice commands, however the biggest issue I have it the glitchy-ness of the remote itself. I will use the directional keys and the volume will change randomly, or I'll try to change the volume and it won't register as quickly as it should.

The remote is very small but well-built. My only gripe I had with it is that the volume would go up and down by itself at random times but only happened when I was holding it. I even made sure no fingers were anywhere near the volume slider, which is touch-sensitive and is accessed by sliding a finger up or down on the remote, below the search button. Besides that, the remote worked great but the volume issue was enough for me to return it and to just use the included controller as the remote, which works very well. I looked on Google and I haven't found anyone else with the same issue I had, so, it's probably a very rare occurrence. If it wasn't for that issue, this would be a 5 star item and highly recommended. Also, the price could and should be a little lower, in my opinion though. Even though I only gave this item one star, perhaps, I got a faulty remote or something was interfering with the bluetooth signal of the remote? I would still recommend this remote if you feel the need to have one, as it does feel weird using a game controller as a remote.

My family purchased a shield tv for our living room and was impressed with the system so we purchased a second one for the bedroom. This controller allows for easy navigation and I would recommend adding this accessory.

I'm not sure this remote would be worth $50, but it came bundled with my Shield TV and it's a nice remote. Feels good to hold and has a rechargeable battery. The voice search works well and is a nice feature.

Not sure if this is needed especially for the price it works great headphone option is good i really only use it for voice search because i have a harmony remote

I honestly think that this should always be included with the Shield Android TV, I got mine bundled with it for free. I love the headphone jack on it and the buttons are very responsive.

I love this remote its rechargeable and i could privately listen to my Netflix or play games with out anybody waking up just connect any headphones to the control and your good to go

It's so slim and nicely made, looks great sitting around the house. Pro tip: slide your finger up and down the bottom center to raise or lower the volume. Sweet!

Great Remote For The Nvidia Shield TV. amazing features included touch volume controls and headphone jack for private listening.

Bought this so i wouldn't have to hold the gaming controller all the time more comfortable to hold works well for video viewing.

No looking for batteries - internal battery charged by usb. Controls are smooth and work the first time you touch the button. Much better than all other android remotes. Only different thing is the volume button is quite sensitive so takes a bit to get used to, but like the slide feature.

Remote works well, voice commands work except for Netflix, which I hope they fix in the future.

Very sleek and compact design. The remote is pretty responsive and the volume feature is cool. My only gripe is cost. For $50 I expect some other features like mouse capabilities. The fact that you could download an android remote app to do the same thing, and it's free, makes me question this remote.

I use this remote for my Nvidia to watch movies as the one it comes with is ideal for gaming.

I got the remote as part of a combo deal. It was shipped separately and arrived a few days after I purchased the Shield (which I picked up in store). It is a nice remote and certainly sleeker than the controller. Since I do not do much gaming, I've mainly been using the remote, and it works fine. I will say that I do prefer the volume controls on the controller. Other than that (which is a minor gripe), it works fine.
