Stream movies and games to TV. If only could get rid of recommendation list on top of menu would be 5 stars...

Top of the line Android box, can do it all. Set mine up as it's own Plex media server and it can encode 4k with no issues. Desktop computer error out every time. So much power for a small box, and has Google assistant!! Just don't think about purchase and you won't regret it.

I bought the NVIDIA Shield primarily to run Kodi. I've been quite impressed with the product thus far. Installation of the Shield was quick and I was up and running with Kodi quickly. Performance of the Shield has exceeded my expectations. Its quick to start up apps and I don't see any lag whatsoever. Build quality of the product is top notch. Nice quality remote and game controller. I'm not much of a gamer, but played with the flight simulator and the controller seems pretty good. I've gotten one product update since I bought the product, so it's good to see that NVIDIA is supporting the Shield. Overall, no complaints at all.

Good unit but the price is my only gripe. For this one can have a budget smart tv or an older gaming system

Wonderful device, convenient ability to have all streaming programs in one place and the ability to play games adds the extra benefits to this bundle.

Nvidia shield is so much better than all the other android streamers hands down. Has built in gtx1070 graphics card also. So if u want the most powerful android based streamer for kodi or streaming apps, shield is the best. Also has a plex server. Shield is also good for geforce games, steam games and can even take your old outdated oc or laptop and go through shield and use the gtx1070 graphics card if u like. There are may simulators also for older styleps4, Nintendo switch, genesis, nes, and many others available also. Dont fret you just found the best.

The Nvidia Shield TV offers the best user experience of any of the Android TV boxes. It's fairly powerful, can be used as a Plex media server, and comes with both a remote and a game controller. I don't really play games, so mainly using the remote, which works well and integrates a mic for spoken commands. The commands don't work in all apps, but works well in supported apps. This is replacing my Google Nexus box and I find that I have fewer crashes and the response is much better. I upgraded mainly for the 4K HDR support, which works well. I stream 4K videos mainly from YouTube and Amazon, which also includes some HDR content. The main negative is that Android TV is not as popular as other formats such as Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, so there seems to be less TV apps available. I do subscribe to HBO, but am unable to use HBO Go on this box since Comcast/Xfinity does not allow it, but I can access it on an Apple TV box. Plex is my favorite app on this box and one feature that I will try out next is Plex's new live TV/DVR feature.

Bought this specifically to use as a Plex server to replace an older computer that really wasn't fast enough. Setup was easy and Plex ran out of the box. I use an HDHomeRun to stream video to the Plex DVR, and watch on my TVs using Roku Ultras. It works great and I have had minimal buffering. The Shield is low power and I run it 24/7, and the device isn't warm to the touch. I haven't used any of the other features (I don't even have its output hooked to a TV) but if you are considering it for a Plex server, buy this with confidence.

This is an awesome media player. You can network to a hdd, load any app you want including Kodi, and play tons of games and it is very fast. Love it!

Faster than my android tv at launching apps plus nvidia service for playing AAA non android games. Streaming my games from my home computer to my tv is a huge bonus too.

I was not sure if I want to spend 200 usd on "android streaming box" as you can get all those different boxes starting at 50 usd...but I totally do not regret spending all this money. It is the best, fastest, best software support box out there! Well done Nvidia.

I have purchased 2 of these for my home. Easy to use and definitely faster than a Fire Stick. Has many more features also.

I bought the Shield TV 16GB on the launch date and set it up with my Samsung TV and I have nothing but the best experience so far. I have played around with lots of streaming boxes. Have owned Apple TV since first gen upgrading every year except this year because I wanted something different and more from my streaming device. Nvidia Shield with its top of the line hardware and Android being a mature and well planned OS this seemed like a device of choice! First of all this thing is so small and compact that I was able to tuck it right behind my TV that is only 1 inch thick. Only issue is the 16GB small storage which wouldn't be enough if you downloading stuff to it, but luckily you have two USB 3.0 ports that can be used with HDD of any size. I installed Kodi on this and mainly stream live channels which is no issue for this box. I also installed emulators and games to play and I am living back in my child hood years :o) This has been the best media streaming device of all I have tested! I will be getting the 500GB Pro model already ordered this friday! Yayyy Cheers

This is one of the fastest devices I have seen to date. I am streaming games and movies and without any noticeable lag. I would definitely recommend this as a mainstream device for netflix, hulu and any other app you choose. The only downside is not being able, to put 3rd party apps on the main screen.

I was amazed out how much I like this streaming device. I love how it has been continually supported. UI is great, easy to organize. I cam from Chromecast where you had to open app on phone and cast. That was ok, but I like ability to go to google play store, download all the apps I want and organize on homescreen. Nice compact remote to make navigation easy. As far as gaming, works really well. I have fast internet so no lag at all. My son plays Fortnite on it with no issues. Controller is nice and well built. Highly recommend.

This little box is AMAZING! I have recently become disenchanted with Apple products including the Apple TV and iPhone, so when I was looking for a living room box to stream content I started researching alternatives. The Shield TV has fulfilled all my needs: Netflix, Hulu, alternative media and the occasional games. It boots fast, doesn't make a sound and is hidden behind my tv. YES it is $50 more than the 32GB Apple TV, but you can throw a thumb drive in it and store more content than that device. The included controller and remote are also great. Don't second guess your choice. THIS IS YOUR BOX.

This is the best android box it can play lossless surround fast processor. PIcture quality is crisp. This can also be a plex server.
