A streaming device that can be so much more. You can also game on it through NVIDIA internet streaming service, or in-home game-streaming. Just Great!

I tried apple tv, but this machine is so fast, easy, and the new update 7.0 Android makes it even easier to go through applications. Great investment

Nvidia Shield is a very fast and reliable Android TV device. It supports all of the media sources that I use and most of my media files.

This is a great Android TV Box. You can install all the typical apps such as Kodi (and all Kodi add ons) and PLEX that you would expect, and more. You can also run emulators and stream from your computer to play video games, and the controller is much more comfortable to use than it looks at first. In fact, there are "polygonal lines" drawn on that aren't physically manufactured just to make it look more jagged than it really is. This is the de facto best box on the market at the moment, and there is a reason it carries with it a premium price.

Best streaming player in my opinion. Awesome picture quality, easy hook up, and if your a gamer it does have a controller and online games

I purchased this on referral from a friend. I was using a fire stick before. What a difference in speed and quality. The 4K is awesome.

This really does not add a lot that you don't already have if you have a smart TV. It does some of the apps better than my samsung - Hulu and Netflix are more stable. On the other hand the youtube client interface is nowhere near as good as the Samsung TV has. I mostly got it to play video games with my significant other on the TV. This is VERY mixed. It works well with the NVIDIA streaming function but the number of good coop games is limited and the idea that you can BUY games from NVIDIA and then ALSO pay them a monthly fee is a turn off. I am also finding that on a number of unpredictable occasions, the TV remote will get ridiculously balky. We are talking 20 second response delay. If I could I would give a 3.5 but I am going with 4.

Happy with this. Was between this and Apple TV, I think I made the right choice. Very fast, pretty easy use if you’re patient.

Could be a bit cheaper, but best streaming box out there. Great for gaming and can play multiple content in 4K. Seems faster than our other boxes.

Very quick and responsive. I like the game controller and the remote control. This is the best streaming box for Tablo and Kodi. A few issues -- although directv now is supported on android it is not supported on Android TV, so I and still forced to use the amazon firestick. TimeWarner/Spectrum tv app is the same. Hopefully, there will be more apps ported to Android TV in the near future.

Does what I need it to. Updates can be a bit buggy but the improvements in performance (minus some annoying controller issue snafus) are great

I love the Nvidia Shield, I purchased one about a year ago for our living room TV and have since bought 3 more for our bedroom and two of the kids rooms. They work flawlessly and pack plenty of power to run any app or game you want to throw at it. We primarily use it to run Kodi but I've also used it to stream football games via the sports apps. My kids use theirs to play games from the play store as well as emulated games up to N64. These things are awesome!

Its the best android TV on the market! Its fast processor, slim size. It gets constant system updates. Great purchase!

If you enjoy fast processing...great 4k picture quality or gaming this box does it all! Catch it on sale and u have no brainer

I use this mainly to stream live TV through my HDHomerun. I've tried cheaper devices but you get what you pay for. This works flawlessly, easy to use with an intuitive interface. I don't really play games so I can't comment there.

My soul purpose to get this Nvidia Shield was to use as a headless 24/7 Plex Media server. Which it does very good as compare to a sub $500 server. It is fast and has plenty of computing power to do real time transcoding. It supports 4k UHD and has built in chromecast which is by itself is around $60. So by purchasing this you get a full 4k UHD streaming device, a very responsive and fast plex server, a 4k chromecast, Google Play Store and an occasional gaming console which is ok. To me it is a great all in one 4k media device for my 4k TV.

Very capable internet streamer. Decent gaming capability. Super slick remote. It's a nice plus to have Google cast and Google assistant too!

I've been through several streaming devices and none have satisfied quite like this one. The picture quality is excellent, the remote is premium quality, Wi-Fi is super stable, plenty of apps and the setup was very easy. I see why they haven't changed the design up much in the past 3 years. If it's not broke, don't fix it! The touch slider feature for the volume on the remote is outright brilliant!! All of these great features and I haven't even had time to play with the gaming side of it yet!
