This streamer does it all! 4k, HDR! Has almost every app you would want (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc). With this box you can even play old school games by getting emulators off google play store or even stream games from your pc to your tv. May be more expensive than other streamers but you get what you pay for. I recommend the 16gb over the pro. Just get a thumb drive for adoptive storage and save some money

I’ve tried a few streaming devices and none compare to the Nvidia Shield. There’s nothing this box can’t handle. Powerful box to support all your streaming apps.

The product is good and is working well but If you connect it to a 4K Samsung TV try to watch Amazon 4K programming you'll incur in a pretty big problem. Let me explain: if your TV is connected to a receiver and you connect the Nvidia to the receiver the Amazon app will NOT show the 4K programming because it doesn't recognize the 4K TV and that's is an Amazon app requirement no connection to 4K TV no 4K programming. If you connect the Nvidia directly to the TV you can see the 4K programming on the Amazon app but you will NOT have surround sound!!! That's because Samsung will not allow the TV to output the 5.1 signal to the receiver (same problem with LG TV). I called Samsung and Nvidia support and research every possible solution but there's no way to make it work. So I had to return the product.

I purchased this to improve the Android TV on my Sony TV. Wanted faster and better control. Got that. What I did not expect is the games, I purchased the version with the controller as it was not much more. Lots of games. I am terrible at all of them, but the grand kids like them. Really excited about Plex app on it. I picked up a HDHomeRun Quatro and with an antenna getting all the local channels and can record them to the Plex DVR. There are many things that Plex can do that I have not experimented with yet, but the potential looks huge. And it is just one app. The quality to the TV is excellent. Apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube that have 4k media look spectacular on the Sony 900F TV. There is an app available to cast my laptop and iphone to the Shield TV. Was not expecting much but when I tried it the picture was also good. Hardly any lag either. The little remote that came with it is very cool looking and seems to work well. But a bit small for my hands. However I am able to control it all with a Harmony Hub remote and even by voice using the Google Home Mini. I have Roku on several TVs and it is pretty good. While the Nvidia Shield is more expensive than the separate Roku devices, it really is better. I feel it is worth the extra money. Guess I do qualify as a geek.

This is the fastest and most capable video streamer. Kind of expensive but worth it.

Upgraded from my nexus player which was starting to show its age. Overall this is way faster and more responsive. I also have the shield tablet, and this years controller is a huge upgrade over the old one. Game streaming works well while wired, a little finicky while over wireless. The Geforce now program is also really fun, has a handful of solid games, but would like to see a little more new releases.

I was looking for a good android tv box and spent some money on cheaper ones until I decided to buy the shield. I spent a little more than I wanted but boy was it worth it. It is fast and looks great. has almost all the audio decoding that I was looking for except for Dolby Atmos. I am very happy with this purchase and I won't have to buy any other android tv for a while.

After using multiple streaming devices including, AppleTV, Roku, FireTV, and Nexus Player I've finally found the one and only box I need. It has all the major services including Prime Videos. Speed is phenomenal and the gaming quality is on par with other gaming consoles. I'd highly recommend the Shield TV.

I was hesitant at first about the price tag but am happy with the purchase. Its much faster than the fire stick. I haven't used any other devices outside of those two for a comparison. Roku ultra lost out because of the lack of gaming feature and their ads. The shield handles streaming live tv well via ethernet cord. I have not tried the wireless nor used plex etc.

Amazing streamer with impressive hardware. Not only does this stream every major service (Amazon video as well!), but it can stream games straight from your computer/Nvidia's servers. They just updated the Android OS as well to allow for live TV recordings to a NAS drive. It's also slated to get the Google assistant at some point in the future as well. For the money, you can't go wrong!

I was everything I kept hearing about. I did not pay attention to it since it's release until recent months when it popped up on YouTube so I decided to purchase it. Could not be happier with it. the only issue I have is the remote. If you buy this make sure you look for an alternative to the remote unless you don't mind using the gamepad.
