I got MiBox 4 when it first came out for my 4K TV since it was cheap ($70). However, it was not powerful enough to handle 4K TV. I have read many reviews about the ShieldTV. I bought it when Best Buy had the deal with $25 off using VISA checkout. ShieldTV is great. It can handle everything. It now replaces my MiBox.

This is the best streaming device for 4K and HDR content. Includes video output settings for 4K @ 60Hz, 59.94Hz, 30Hz, 29.97Hz, & 24Hz; chroma settings for 4:4:4, 4:2:2, and 4:2:0; rec. settings for 709 and 2020. Upscaling of SD and HD content is excellent. Includes a remote and gaming device. I added a FLIRC IR receiver and a USB hub. I use a Logitech USB keyboard and mouse, a Logitech 920 USB webcam, and a Logitech 700 IR remote, all of which work very well with the SHIELD. The only limitation so far is the amount of Android TV apps available for the SHIELD, but I anticipate this will increase significantly over time. For Live TV, I've used Sling and Playstation Vue apps, both of which work very well. There is not an app yet for DirecTV Now, so I use an Android tablet app and cast it to the SHIELD, since Chromecast is included. Preinstalled apps includes Amazon Video, Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, Plex, Kodi, etc. You can also sideload many other .apk apps, including Chrome, Firefox, etc. I'm not much of a gamer, but there are lots of free gaming apps available to download to the SHIELD.

I think this is the Best 4k HDR streamer currenly on the market. I had one of the new Roku boxes but it would not recognize all of he audio formats from movies on my server when using Plex. I also think the Roku interface is plain awful. The Nvidia box is fast and modern and will handle anything you through at it.

GAME STREAM. This is the best smart device for netflix hulu etc but for me I really enjoy the in home streaming from my PC to my tv. I can play games that are a good fit for a controller like racing, action, rpg. And the nvidia controller is equal to playstaion/xbox one in quality.

The ultimate streamer with options for the gamers. Very easy setup and both controllers are simple enough. Can add almost any app available and the unit upgrades itself easily. Made for the ultimate streamer who wants all options available.

Android TV is so much better than the competition. I have owned 3 Roku devices and 2 Amazon devices. All 5 of these devices either died from planned obsolescence or from complete failure. If you need an external streaming device then get this. It also is amazing at emulation.

If you already own a firestick and wish it had a little more power and better video quality. This is for you. I run all my favorite APKs and other Android based programs on this like my firestick but it’s less glitchy and soooo much faster and amazing 4K streaming!!!

By far the fastest streaming device around. Streams games awesomely and has all the normal streaming apps.

No comparison, this is the best. The only gripe I could think of is that I don’t care for the remote. Specifically the volume slider on the remote. It’s just not what I like. It’s too touchy. I got around this by pairing a new amazon fire tv 4k remote with volume buttons.

I purchased the Nvidia Shield with game controller a month ago and wont be replacing it for a long time. This box is to me better than the fire stick and many other android boxes on the market. It pretty fast and versatile. Still haven't pushed its full capabilities yet.

I love this thing so much. It’s expensive but worth every penny. I need another one for my living room.

I have it hooked up to my optoma he projector and I finaly feel like I can cancel my cable subscription

I'm a little bit disappointed because there is no support either for 'xfinity stream' or 'directv now'.

So far so good. Seems to be what we wanted. Will let you know if we have any problems but works great.

I absolutely love this little device. I was able to completely replace my aging HTPC with it. This little device will do full 8 channel lossless audio with atmos if you want it. I use it to run a Plex client in my home theater. Having the built-in Shield Grid gaming and Nvidia game streaming is just an added bonus and will take a little getting used to if you don't have a good mouse and keyboard option for couch gaming. I installed a 64gb usb3 stick and am running all my console emulators off of it too and while it took some time to get it up and running it performs great! Nes, N64, Genesis, and so on all running on this little guy. In terms of it's advertised purpose as a 4k media streaming device...well it truly shines. Full HDMI-CEC support which turns everything on with the touch of a button on the remote. When the Shield goes to sleep it will power everything down. The Netflix and Amazon apps are fantastic and having access to Youtube and Google Play is a huge added bonus. Stop shopping around and buy one of these already!

This little unit is awesome. I'm a big fan of this unit and anyone that is in to an all in one spot for media should get this. Handles 4k too! Load up Amazon, Netflix, Games, Kodi & all your other media needs. Works fantastic and haven't had a single issue with this. So glad I have it.

This is so much better than the Fire stick. No network problems, streams with little to no buffering.

I tried several android boxes, Roku and Roku TV Fire box etc. Then I decided to buy Nvidia Shield TV. So My experience was real pleasant and I am loving it. I bought the 2016 last year and returned it and I was Sorry because they had offer to buy the box the controller and the remote for 199.00 So I decided to buy the 2017 model which comes with remote and controller too, and it was on sale at Best Buy for 179.00. So I jumped on this deal and bought it. If you are hesitating go for it.

This box is great for streaming. It has all the apps needed from the Google Play store plus listen to music and play games.
