This is an amazing piece of hardware! It is versatile small and fast. I love the fact that it has Google Chromecast and runs on Android! Iove the option of being able to play with a romote, it is great for retro-gaming highly recommend it!

This thing is fantastic! I've tried just about every streaming device out there and this one is fantastic! It's very snappy, everything loads quickly, no long loading times, very user friendly UI. Its definitely worth the money in my opinion.

This device is hands-down the best streaming device on the market. Nvidia always keeps it up to date with the latest Android TV features. not only can you stream TV and movies but you can stream games from your PC or over the web through Nvidia.

I have been hearing about these boxes for awhile and took advantage of a sale. This is a fantastic streaming box. I am glad I purchased this, wish I would have gotten it sooner. I give it 5 stars even though I think it could use a better remote.

I have bought several media players through the years and none can come close to the nvidia shield. I wish bought this when it first came out and did not waste my time and money on the others. It does everything flawlessly and the interface is great.

The NVIDIA Sheild is by far and away the best device in my house I have 3 now and recommend it to everyone The process speed is unbelievable and the experience is incredible Especially if you regularly stream! The best! Believe me

Bought a different Android box for my television to see if I would be able to "cut the chord". My other box had some limitations, but did get SMPT working and several other apks. Since I read on the internet that the Nvidea shield was the best device, I jumped in to see if it was that much better (almost 3xs the price ). It is a much better device. It Has a better remote, and seems to have a better wifi connection. It also includes a game controller, which I don't use, but could be useful if you play games. I have a JVC tv, and it automatically turns on my tv and switches it to the correct input HDMI channel, just by waking up my Shield. So far I have watched many TV shows and movies that I couldn't get any other way. Works flawlessly with Amazon Prime TV and Netflix as well as numerous free apps. Watch YouTube videos because you can't even imagine the capabilities this device has.

This thing does everything and if you have enough bandwidth you'll be happy you upgraded. I went from a nexus player to this in my living room and the difference is great. No more buffering and no more lock ups. Can't wait for the Nvidia Spot to come out. p.

This is a awesome set top box. I primarily use it to watch movies and TV from my Plex server and it does that with no problem. The gaming on this device is good also. Plus having the ability to game share from my main gaming PC is great

This thing is an amazing little computer. It is a work horse and I use it to run a PLEX server and it does very well. I have been impressed. It can stream NVIDA games online which require a huge amount of horse power. Great little unit.

I love this. It replaced my old PS3. I have it setup for all my streaming very smooth. I can play games from my desktop using the streaming function. I didn't get the Shield with the extra storage space so I bought a 2T external drive. Which is even better.

Works as expected. Dolby Digital Plus and surround formats work better on Shield than FireTV, especially where Plex is concerned. We all noticed that the color output seems to be better on the Shield than our prior FireTV4k. The menu is straight forward and doesn't bother you with ads. Sony Vue app runs about same as FireTV. The GamePad is fair-good. Touchy volume control on the remote if I had to nit pick. Overall a solid purchase.

For the past few months, I've been trying out the Raspberry Pi and even converting a laptop for a media center with Plex and Kodi. After juggling this and that around, I took a hard look at the $200 Nvidia box. Most of the rest were under$100 (Roku, Firestick, etc.). The laptop was already owned. After other reviews, I decided to take the chance on Nvidia. Good move! It's sleek, comes with remote AND full function yoke wireless game controller. The remote and controller take a little bit of getting used to but once you get which button does what, it's a breeze. And the remote is so simple getting around Kodi is a breeze. The only irritating thing at first was the VOICE! She announced every move I made. But I finally figured out how to turn it off. The box costs a little more but the inclusion of the game controller helps offset it a little. Highly recommended.
