Bought this for my friend who is an avid gamer. He loves it and has been using it for long time. Not for games but to watch movies and cartoons with his daughter.

Everything works like Nvidia advertises. I've used it for streaming online media, streaming games from my PC and media from local drives. The price is high, but everything you get is worth it. I had the previous version of the Shield player, and the remote and game controller are vast improvements over already good peripherals. If anything, the device itself is smaller than the old system, but works just as well. Highly recommended, and the best android TV device I've seen and I've tried a ton. Some things it took using it to discover, that ma not be evident. Yes, it does CEC for volume and power with compatible HDMI devices. It also can utilize IR control if CEC isn't an option. Again, worth the price.

People have ragged on this systems controller for some reason,. I don't get it,. It's the best controller I've ever used! I never thought I'd be willing to use a digital download only game console, But it seems to work so much better than having a gamefly subscription or having to download patch kits for games. The graphics for Batman and hitman are in par with the PS4 and Xbox one. As a streaming box,. It is the most popular one o. The market especially if you are using Kodi or Plex. The tegra processor is just awesome. But having only one USB 3.0 port,. And if you do ant gaming,. Get a hub that's 3.0 compliant and an external HD. You won't regret this purchase. PS. Get a wireless keyboard and mouse too.

Great product. Does exactly what it says it will do I am able to store and create albs for my photos. Also able to create a media center designed specifically for my tastes.

Great device for streaming both games and videos. Hardware handles 4K and multi stream audio nicely. Gaming on the unit is a nice extra if you have a good amount of bandwidth.

This is the best Android TV device and I've used quite a few. Regular updates, has a developer community, supports game streaming from my NVidia powered laptop, smooth 4K media streaming using Plex and Kodi.

This is replacing an Intel i5 Laptop I had in my projector theater room as it was having trouble streaming my 4k movies. This device will handle just about any video and audio codec you throw at it. I am using it mainly as my OTA TV tuner (with optional USB - Coax) and Plex Streamer (i have a separate desktop server doing the Plex server though). It plays Dolby Atmos\DTS HD MA X and 4k without a hiccup (mind you I have Ethernet LAN connected to it). I have also added a 500GB external drive for DVR purposes and to store some games. Zero issues, i only wish they had a better MEDIA type of remote control option that doesn't require a USB IR dongle.

This is a great TV box. The quality is the best I have I seen in any Android box. The only draw back is that it could use more memory

Simply the best android box there is just gotta know the basics. I don't own a computer just a smart phone and I was able to use this device after some you tube advice lol so go ahead check it out

I bought this because it was easy enough for my dad to use it, it is very user friendly and straight on you can watch your favorite app to watch movies like netflix and most importantly amazon prime movies!

I bought this box to replace my directv service and it does it great! It doesnt buffer at all , its fast as a gs9. If you love android platform, you need to try this for tv streaming or movies!

I am glad I purchased this system. There are tons of options, from movies to games, available for it that almost anything is possible. Best part is, it is lightning fast for Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.

Has a fast processor to stop any lagging and a bunch of add ons which makes my living room a great place to hang out. From movies to ps1 video games you can do tons of things with this device.

I decided to cut the cord and bought this little gem and haven't looked back since. There is so much you can do with the Shield TV that it would take another review but it truly is a cord cutters dream.

The Nvidia Shield is such a great gaming and streaming device, it helps me keep my nephew busy with games and also helps with my Hulu, Amazon accounts to watch great shows and movies.

Excellent product for its versatile design and high functionality. If you are in to video games just not that in to the thousands of dollars it takes to play all the different games on all the different platforms then this is the machine for you. I love being able to do everything I want to without having alot of stuff I dont need plus the voice activated controller is so awesome because I no longer need my headset when gaming something Sony,Microsoft and Nintendo can not match not to mention the price is beyond reasonable. One of the most solid purchases I have made in along time.

This is a one stop shop when it comes to smart android boxes, the streaming capability in HDR 4K, the streaming apps available, the gaming are all fantastic and way better than I expected

Nothing in the market is comparable to the Nvidia Shield. I really enjoy it. It's my gaming system and my ultimate tv experience. I can get virtually any movie or TV show with the right app.

It is very fast and definitely worth getting with the game controller. If you download apps or use a browser that needs a mouse pointer, the game controller analog works as a mouse.
