The Nvidia Shield works great!! I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants gaming and tv streaming.

Cant complain. Does everything, and is very open to customization. Its android after all! I use this to stream movies, play games(GFN), stream games to this from my PC, Control lights via google assistant (only when using the tv). Cant complain. The customer service is EXCEPTIONAL. I can safely say from all the tech purchases I have made over the years, this is easily top 5.

You'll save alot money buying this instead of paying for cable. Doesnt take up much space.

I have an Apple TV 4k but for steaming 4KHDR 10 content with an atmos of DTS audio track my Apple TV could not handle it. My Nvidia Shield handles everything I threw at it with no problem. Plus you get some free game to play with Geforce Now gaming platform. I mostly used to for local Plex streaming from my Media server and it is the best client as well as small plex server with the addition of harddrive as well. Android TV is very fluid.

I had got this for around Christmas time, and it stopped working 2-3 months into having it. I let it sit around and tried to turn it back on after it stopped working, it won't even power on. Not sure what happened, it just stopped working. I started using my other streaming device instead. I reached out to the company in process of asking for a warranty replacement, hopefully it works better. When I did have it working, it was android based, so a ton of option in terms of apps. I was able to use it to stream my games from my PC on to the shield it was super cool, and worked overall pretty well. Just make sure your computer can handle this. I'd recommend it, maybe I just got unlucky with the one I got.

I've had it only for a day (the base version, not Pro). So far I love it's streaming apps. Netflix, Amazon, and Plex support 4K HDR, Youtube, Google Movies, Vudu and Ultraflix and a few others support 4K (no HDR for those yet, rumored to come later for Vudu, Google Movies and Youtube). The Netflix app had to be updated on the Google Play Store to get HDR support. Sadly, the Sony Ultra app (where you can own or rent Sony's 4K HDR movies) is available but is unable to play 4KHDR items.

The Nvidia Shield is a great streaming box. Everything runs smooth and each day I find something new on the android OS.

I think this is the best cross-platform device to stream content to (from Apple, Android and PC sources) and it does have some advantages over Roku and Apple TV. It has USB ports to enable increased storage or peripherals like TV tuners, and local content storage with the ability to be a backend server for the content to other devices (Plex). DVR capabilities are a good addition. The only issues I have seen are it can be difficult to find some apps in the Play Store (that though can be ) and it can have issues with some Bluetooth items (speakers that automatically sleep or disconnect have to be re-paired sometimes to reconnect). The pricing seems to bother some people, but still seem to have more options for the price compared to a 4K compatible Apple TV.

New to streaming. The Nvidia Shield is easy to use and we think streaming our programs beats paid TV any day!!!

This Android box is amazing. It blows all the Chinese Android boxes away with how fast it is. Highly recommend.

Love my N Shield. Fast, great remote (although it gets a little laggy at times). Best for gaming and other applications.

What can I say, this thing does it all and it's unlocked allowing for full Android. Looks and sounds great on my 4k

Great streaming device. Lots of games preloaded. You can also do IPTV service. Lot faster than Roku.
