While most Tom Cruise movies are entertaining, this one was a total let down. Too unrealistic to even quality as SciFi!

The movie was good except for Tom Cruise I am not a fan of his he's a terrible actor and he's into the cult sciencetology

I was really looking forward to seeing this movie...and then I saw it. This movie is confusing, and worst of all I found it disappointing. This movie has tons of twists and turns, which is fine, as long as the movie explains them. This one doesn't. By the end, all this movie did was leave me with confusion. And it's really long, that or it just seemed like it was really long.

Don’t waste your time with this film. Wish that I could get back the two hours of my life that I wasted while watching this movie. I suggest Jack Reacher or Edge of tomorrow instead of this one.

Do not buy until Universal masrers their 4K discs properly. At present all Universal 4K movies are incompatible with the Xbox One S.

I bought it cheap on black Friday along with other 4K movies, but this one doesn't play on my Xbox one.

This movie was a BIG waste of money. I gave it away. I was very surprised to see Tom Cruiz in a movie like this.

Stops in middle have to jump over missing 10 to 15 minutes be for it moves on. 4K ultraHD.

I missed seeing this in the theater and am so glad I bought the movie. The multiple twists had me constantly wondering what was around the next corner. Tom Cruise did an excellent job in this movie, but I was a little disappointed that there wasn't as much time with Morgan Freeman and the resistance. The plot was excellent with a sci-fi storyline. The detail in the sets were fantastic and the bonus material was well worth watching it. Great movie overall!

The Movie Probably cost Tons of Money.....The Movie reminds me of a Movie that has been done a while back and I can't remember what that movie is......Definitely the guy that wrote it, ripped of Battle Star Gallatica (The Newest One with Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonald, Katee Sackoff, #6 Tricia Helfer, et al in it and was aired on syfy Network .... one big Cylon#.....The Red Head Woman that is Tom's Boss and Girlfriend or Wife is Very Beautiful and the premise of the Movie is Aliens have come too Earth and tried to take over the planet...We won the war, but destroyed Earth with all the Nukes used to beat them and people are "saved" on these Massive Triangle "Death Star" type of Living Quarters and Ship and they are moving to the big moon of Saturn named Titan.....the Scientologists probably had a hand in the movie, it had that feel.....The movie really didn't get moving and kept you wondering what is going on and what do th4e Aliens look like. I Pre-Ordered the Blu-Ray with the Bonus Disc and I have 2 PS3's and the Blu-Ray didn't play on either, it booted up and went to Chapter 73 and stuck there right after the Big Universal Opening...I made an exchange at the Flowood, MS store and had one of the rudest Best Buy employee in the world, the movie played on the stores Blu-Ray player and I was told firmly, this was my problem and she wouldn't return it.....I had already prepared for this and printed out my Reward Zone Sheet and brought it with me....When I get my 3D TV and My Daughters new PS4 or Xbox One, I will be a Silver Member. I asked for the Manager and had to ask about 5 times until she got the manager and he took care of me. #I also had an issue out of the return policy, I had Heart Surgery and had Pre-Order 2 of the new Flash Movie with the little character bonus item and didn't know I hadn't cancelled another pre-order of the same product, it was in my cart and I was in the hospital at the time and thought I cancelled that order....I received all 3 of those Blu-Rays which the one I opened worked, the other I am saving# then I also received the 1 Pre-order of the movie that I forgot to cancel and had a total of 3.....It was well out of the NEW 15 Day Return Policy..YES They Changed it and I didn't receive the change by Email and it is now a Lowly 15 Days not 30 #mistake...not customer friendlyI had the product in the shipping box and was unable to take care of it until I was feeling better and could drive and the girl I was Dealing with Dug her Heels in as if I was trying to Return a $10 million dollar product and would bankrupt the company....I happen to have talked to the Manager of that store Several Times and He helped me pick out a laptop so I knew the guy who is a class act and a smart guy....she paged him and got him up there, 1st he approved the Oblivion return and the girl got visibly upset and I showed the Manager My Reward Zone Purchases, where it showed I had an order for 2 Flash Movies and then I also had an order for 1. I explained to him that I thought I cancelled it and obviously did not and told him that if he couldn't return I would understand.....He saw I purchased 2 on 1 order and purchased 1 on another order and the product I was bringing back was still in the box sealed from UPS, he said no problem, I can see that you didn't cancel that order...I thanked him and he left.....The Girl Associate was so upset that he approved the 1st return that wouldn't work on my PS3, but worked on their player Best Buy gets Full Credit for returns to their Vendors, it isn't coming out of their money, but when that Girl heard him look at the Unopened UPS BOX of the Flash Movie he said you didn't even break the seal so he knew in his mind I was going to return it at some point and I wanted to wait until I went to the store so BB wouldn't have to eat the return shipping and he said to the girl, Please return this for him and when he said that that Girl was sooo Visibly Mad at Manager and if she was visibly very mad at me.......she did get me back in her way, she had to go get the new "Oblivion" movie and I asked her to please get the correct one with the Bonus Disc Included and guess what, she didn't....I am disabled with a horrific back and heart problems and it took her 26 minutes and 32 seconds to do a return that should have taken 5 minutes at the most. Sorry about the rant, but it is part of the Experience of Viewing the Movie, because I had had it for a little over a week and was excited to watch it and when I got home the exact same problem happened.....I put it in a 6 month old New PS3 and a 3 year old PS3 and did the same thing on both movies stuck in the same place and worthless to me.....I watched the DVD and I am out the $10 dollars or so of the difference between the cost of the Blu-Ray and The DVD Version, plus all the Blu-Ray Features that I can't see, that might have made value and the Movie better... I watch all the extras .... I did check around 20 Blu-Rays older ones and Very Recent Ones and I just watched "Olympus Has Fallen" and it works perfectly, so that run of "Oblivion" are defective to PS3's or at least the models I have. I am going back to the store this week a couple of times until I see that Girl Associate working and Give Her the Blu-Ray Movie of "Oblivion" it has no value to me and maybe she doesn't have it and she can add it to her Blu-Ray collection just want to a good gesture to let her know that she is okay with me, maybe she got bad news that day or was sick or the gum she was chewing was losing its flavor---it is not intended to be mean just a peace offering. Off that subject and back to the movie.....the best part was when Morgan Freeman finally showed up in the movie..... The movie was edited poorly...... The acting was sub-par for Cruise.... The acting for Morgan Freeman was excellent as usual..... They didn't fully explain the relationship b/w Cruise and Andrea Riseborough, other than they were at least a couple that worked and lived in the Futuristic Home/Office....She had rank over him....he was the Tech/Repairmen to these Drones that are protected Earth while they drain the oceans and take the water to Titan and is also their fuel for some products.......Andrea is British, she is Beautiful and has a great body and dresses very elegant for work, where she and Cruise are the only people there and she could wear sweats if she wanted. The middle of the movie really didn't push the movie forward and the battles Cruise would have were in real life he would not have survived as many times as he did.....they didn't sell me on this could actually happen, more like there is no way, one person could win these extremely battles he was in..... They didn't show the Aliens except from a very far distance, didn't fully explain good enough where they were from...... The Year in the movie was 2017....when they invaded and they did a memory wipe on every surviving human and now it is 50 or 60 years later......if this battle in 2017 destroyed the moon and the devastation to the earth was that massive, how did we get so advanced as a species, if this really happened in 4 years.....we would be set back into the dark ages and not to the point where We would have been able to basically beat "Darth Vader" and the Death Star.....just realistically wouldn't happen.....I know its only a movie, but they sold it as this will happen in 4 years......in 4 years we will have IPhone 10 and North Korea and China will probably have Nukes. The ending of the movie #around the last 35 minutes# was the best part, had a good twist, but to little to late.......I was already at the point of wishing I rented it off of the PS3 for $5.99 and saved $35 #cost of gas to the store twice to get my issue with the movie resolved....the 1 hour spent trying to just get a replacement movie. Buy this movie if you Love Cruise...................... Don't buy this movie with high expectations and if you really like then you can say that dude in Mississippi is so wrong about this movie. Have a Safe and Happy rest of the year everyone and ...... start buying from Best Buy.com or the Store instead of Amazon on Small Purchases, BB will match the price AT THE TIME OF THE PURCHASE NOT AFTER....that changed to.....Best Buy as 90% really nice and knowledgeable staff and their stores are clean and you can talk to a person .... I made a promise to myself that I wasn't going to worry about the Sales Tax this year and the Reward Zone Certificates basically make it where you are not paying sales tax (to the States that have Sales Tax and when you buy that Blu-Ray, TV, Computer, Cell Phone, etc...if you have an issue you have a store of mostly nice people to take care of you and maybe teach something new. 2013 had two movies about a post human life on earth.This was the better of the two.Tom Cruise does a good job in the lead and the design work on this film is excellent.While a little slow in the beginning,the film really gets going at its midpoint.Joseph Kosinski who also directed Tron:Legacy does a nuce job in his sophomore film.
