Picked this up to replace my monitor setup for sim racing. The Rift has noticeable "SDE" (Screen Door Effect), but you get used to it once you're playing. What's not acceptable however is how many issues I've run into trying to get it to work. I'm running it on an Asus Z170A, i8700k and 2x GTX 1070 with everything hooked up to USB3.0, yet the Rift persisted in complaining about "Poor tracking quality". I ended up purchasing the Inateck PCIE USB3 card (recommended by Oculus), which made it work. For a week. Tried to fire it up today and the Inateck has died and I'm back to fighting the sensors on my onboard USB3 ports. Given the image quality is less than appealing during non-demo games and the issues I've had with the Rift, I'm returning it tomorrow and buying a Samsung Odyssey. I've already spent over $100 in Rift games in their store which I'm sure I'll lose, but I'd rather lose out on that then use the Rift one more day.

Everything I expected and more!! Wild, rides and scenery

Great VR and the games are very fun. Great family game.

To fully use the motion tracking you need a fair amount of room.

The visuals and ergonomics are on par with the HTC Vive but the tracking is more finicky than Valve's lighthouse system.

Still enjoyable in this day and age after 4 and half years of service. The free software it came with are also fun would recommend arizona sunshine, robo recall, and job simulator.

I was amazed with the demo and took a long time to pull the trigger, But im glad I did, Dead and Burried is a great game. It makes you feel like your in really in the game. I'm using the Asus ROG GU501GM-BI7N8 laptop. And so far its great, I would caution anyone who gets motion sickness to take it easy until you get used to it. Minecraft was BAD for me with motion sickness. or VR sickness haha, I would recommend this game I did have one issue with the sensors when setting up, but after you get the software installed, you go to C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-drivers\oculus-driver.exe in install as admin, then its all good.

It's good make sure your pc can handle it with more RAM
