Oh snap vs pop socket. Honest review.

Long time pop socket user vs this oh snap. I have to say from a profile and mount perspective this is awesome. The purple color made my wife happy. However. The con of this mount is that it feels flimsy when using it. It doesn’t always flatten out like you would expect it. And when trying to use it as a leaning stand it does not work as expected. We have used pop sockets for years prefer the fixed models. So in short if flat profile is what you want this is a good choice. If durability and function is what you want consider other models.

Have been using the ohsnap for around 45 days and it has been great. I was worried about durability after looking at the reviews but so far so good. I am aware of the limitations of the plastic as some sections of the folding arms are very thin. I am careful not to damage them and make sure they are aligned before collapsing the grip. The functionality is superior to a PopGrip with more grip options and better stand for landscape. Portrait stand was not possible on PopGrip but works with ohsnap. I was searching for a MagSafe grip that works on iPhone without a case. The adhesive assists the magnets and it is so thin you can still attach MagSafe accessories. I do not wireless charge because I prefer to fast charge over Lightning. It would be nice if it was only magnetic to remove easier. The grip needed to be removed once but reattaching was not an issue. I actually liked that the PopGrip was thicker because of the camera bump on the Pro Max. My device still rocks side to side when on a flat surface but prefer the ohsnap overall. My favorite part of this grip is the fidget-ability. I play with the grip constantly! The magnet makes it fun to pop it open and closed different ways. You can spin the grip open or closed or spin your phone. The plastic has been holding up well to all the fidgeting. I hope it does not break but I would probably buy another one.
Thank you for sharing such a detailed review—we’re so glad to hear the OhSnap grip has been working well for you! It’s great to know you’ve enjoyed the functionality, slim design, and even the fidget-ability (we love that part too!). We appreciate your care in handling the grip and your understanding of the design’s limitations.

The frip is nice and comfortable, the mangers work amazing when you attach it, but the problem i have with the frip is that the glue that secures the grip to fhe phone is not strong. The grip has detached off of the phone while using it after 4 months and when i reapplied the replacement glue it came with, it detached after 2 months.
Tldr. Grip is great, glue that attaches it to phone is not
Thanks for the thoughtful feedback! We're glad to hear you love the grip and magnetic strength, but sorry to hear about the adhesive issues. We'd recommend reaching out to support — they may be able to provide a stronger adhesive or replacement solution.

There are multiple colors to match the color of your phone. It's not too bulky compared to the pop-up magnet. The magnet is strong. Sometimes, I have tomore smust pull my phone hard to get it off the mount. It allows me to hold my phone more securely. It doesn’t do an excellent job as a phone stand. It’s kind of flimsy. All the pros outweigh the cons.
Thanks so much for the positive feedback! We're thrilled to hear you're enjoying your product and that it’s working well for you. Your support means a lot to us — we love knowing it’s making your experience better every day!

This is the second one I've bought (bought the first one for myself, this beautiful one for my partner. They're thin, super strong, and I love that I can mount it to most metals. I've gotten some awesome handsfree video by using the strong magnet attached to the side of my truck (NOT IN MOTION OMG PLEASE DONT DRIVE WITH YOUR PHONE OUTSIDE OF YOUR VEHICLE).
I love how thin it is, and it's so fidgetable

So here’s the thing - I’ve had iPhones for a long time but never had a pop socket attached to any of them. Then I walked into Best Buy one day looking for a product exactly like this, and for the most part I love it. You do have to be particular about what case you’re sticking it too, or else it won’t stay attached. I really can’t comment on what material works best with it, but I’ve tried attaching it to cases with clear plastic backs and a case with a matte finish back and it only worked with the case with the matte finish back. It does heat up a bit when you charge your phone with MagSafe which in turn heats up the adhesive that attaches to your phone and it will fall off. I’d call that a bit of a design flaw, but again, it depends on what kind of case you’re using it with. Maybe in future versions the company can improve the quality of the adhesive used to where it won’t fall off as easily if it does get hot while charging. With all of that said, I’d still recommend the product and I do love it and it’s clever design a lot.

For the most part, I really like this phone grip. It is very thin and strong and easy to use once you figure it out. I had a hard time understanding at first where to put my index finger for the one finger hold, but after watching the video it was clearer. The only thing that I don't like is that I can no longer magsafe charge even though it says it can. My charger does not "see" the phone's battery anymore, and I miss this feature.

So thin I barely notice it, but super useful to hold my phone. You can hold it between your fingers like a traditional grip, slide your finger through the hinge to hold with one finger, or flip it back to use as a stand. Also makes for a decent fidget toy. Clicking it out and back into place is quite satisfying.

It works great and pretty much exactly like the ads advertised. It feels like good quality, sticks to magnets (maybe not as strong as they claimed in the ad when it comes to sticking to magnetic surfaces) and works for wireless charging pretty well. When it comes to using it in a car wireless magnetic charger it sticks pretty strong and charges well too. It is as thin as they say and the only thing that has me worried is the flexible plastic on the inside where you stick your finger through kind of feels like it could break eventually but so far no problems at all. Only thing is the price is a bit high but understandable.

I was a little hesitant about this but wanted to try it. It has exceeded my expectations. The MagSafe feature is much stronger and it is super thin and not even noticeable. It is definitely smaller than the camera bump on the back. I had some issues with certain MagSafe stands because the camera bump did not allow the phone to lay flat enough. This corrects that issue for me. The fact that it is a magnet and allows my phone to stick the the fridge and other objects is just a plus. I do not use those but if I need to it is there. I highly recommend this for anyone that is in the market for some type of assistance holding the phone. It’s worth $40 but I feel $29.99 should be the sweet spot.
Thanks so much for the awesome review and great feedback! The thinness of the grip is unbelievable and to keep all the features of your phone while adding a grip is the goal. So glad you're enjoying it!

it's nice and thin. like that it's made with metal accent and that it's has a strong magnetic attraction to other surfaces (can easily place phone on side of fridge). like that the pop-up stays put when not in use. iffy that i need to adhesive stick it to phone for a secure fit which kind of defeats "mag-safe" .. but most mag-safe chargers & accessories work with this in place. i usually have a mag-safe wallet on top of this.
I would recommend this to a friend

Get this instead of a Pop Socket

Way slimmer than a pop socket and is compatible with MagSafe so you never need to remove it to charge wirelessly. It also has strong magnets to stick your phone to metal. It’s slimmer than your camera bump too so it’s easier to get in and out of pockets than a pop socket.
The plastic grip might seem flimsy and fragile but it’s not. I’ve had mine for years now and it’s as strong and crisp as the day I bought it. Idk how they do it.
You can use this over and over. Moved mine between phones and it hasn’t lost a beat.
Thanks so much for the awesome review, errie806! We’re glad the Snap Grip’s slim design and durability have held up for you—we love hearing it's still going strong after years of use!

I finally found a phone grip that I actually enjoy, and I don't even notice it when I'm not using it. It's fantastic for sticking to metal like at the gym I'm often sticking it to the racks while i record my sets. It also actually looks good, I bought the stone for my natrual titanium iphone 15 pro, and it actually matches well
I've tried a bunch of other brands, even more expensive grips, and they aren't even comparable. 10/10 would totally recommend.

Low profile pop socket alternative. I like being able to put a finger through the middle to hold the phone with 1 hand. Also wireless charging without removing the case is nice. I do wish it was a little cheaper but so far it's held up good.
Thanks for the thoughtful review! We're glad you're enjoying the low-profile design and the one-handed grip feature — it’s great to hear it’s working well with wireless charging too. Can be best but major let down prevent it from it

Honestly I like the minimalist design to it and functions that it provides but realizing that is an adhesive accessory is a bit down side and the rotation of the middle piece. Having to stick your grip to your phone and then being super limited just because it the middle part doesn’t rotate is a big let down and I’m currently leaving the adhesive liner on so I can remove it rotate it that way, but defeats the whole purpose of this specific phone grip. Can be grip but need to fix these main issue.
Thanks for your feedback! We're glad you like the minimalist design and functionality. We understand your concerns about the adhesive and limited rotation — those are valid points, and we appreciate you highlighting them. Your input helps guide future improvements!

Its a good accesory for what it is. Need small fingers to fit inside the finger holder. Its nice that it mag charges. Its probably not for everybody, you have to try it to see if you like it.

Very slim and easy to use. Great magnet, but i find the adhesive weakens when i have my phone sitting on the dashboard. Heat maybe?
This causes the ohsnap to pop off my case when i slide it off the magnetic holder in my car.
Thanks for your feedback! Heat can definitely weaken adhesives over time — especially on car dashboards where temperatures get high. If the issue persists, feel free to reach out to support for a replacement or to explore alternative mounting solutions!

I like the product — slim profile, strong magnet, and the adhesive has held so far, but it’s only been 4 months. However, the folding mechanism, which is made of pretty thin plastic, had not held up. The plastic is now bending in ways that make it almost impossible to collapse entirely, and if i put it in my pocket not completely collapsed, it gets caught up when trying to take it out of my pocket. For the price, i was hoping it would last more than 4 months.
