I really like most of M. Night movies. This is one of the better ones.

A different concept in a movie , pretty slow. But a really good plot.

Old should be called new because I've never seen a movie like this before, but it was suspenseful and had a great story.

M. Night returning to his original, different, unique storytelling style. Shot on 35mm film, the movie looks beautiful in 4K.

Yikes! I don't know what happend to M. Night. This was just a plain old stinkfest. His last real good movie was signs. I thought he was gonna make his comeback after Split but Glass was disappointing as well. I gave this review four stars only because the steelbook is nice

The plot was extremely slow at some points but the frame and picture were pleasant. Most characters were bland and had poor character development throughout the movie. Trailer made it seem like a horror but I would put it in the suspense category.

I had my eye on this Steelbook since it came out, but was hesitant to pick it up full price, having not seen the movie in theaters. I saw it on a sale and picked it up. The artwork is great. As far as the movie, I enjoyed it. It has some rewatch value, but its definitely best the first time through. The wide shots of the beach / water are very nice in the 4k release. Worth watching at least once.

Although I really like films by M. Night Shyamalan they have always been "hit" (The Sixth Sense, Signs, Split, etc.) or "miss" (The Happening, After Earth, The Last Airbender, etc.) IMO. That being said, I am on the fence with this one. On the one hand, the cinematography, performances, and music are fantastic. On the other hand it's like it seems to jump from one genre to another and then another one that eventually leads up to a twist (like most Shyamalan films). Although I stayed with it to the very end, I was a bit let down by the resolution. Now I want to read the graphic novel that it's based on. The blu-ray contains a few BTS clips that were interesting (especially how and where it was filmed on location).
