This camera is built so that it can get wet. It has some disadvantages, but I already knew about them prior to purchase, so no surprises there.

Luckily I got this for my trip to Bora Bora! Great buy!

Great camera-I'd recommend it to anyone. Perfect for swimming with children, vacations, etc.

great images, especially macro, the remote control app on the phone is amazing, tough as nails, looks slick and has some useful accessories. all in all a great camera, super happy with this purchase.

I bought this camera specifically based on reviews of it's "tough-ness" and the color saturation. I previously owned 2 other Sony waterproof cameras and while they provided great images, they weren't as sturdy with drops. Sure enough, the colors and sharpness of images on the Olympus for both underwater and on land were beautiful. I haven't played around with its' other functions but I still pleased with my purchase.

This camera is my 4th waterproof/shockproof camera and easily the best because it by far takes better pictures as a regular point and shoot. Had a Nikon previously for 4 years...it was good, but this is easily superior. The wifi is also a great feature to quickly move photos to my phone or iPad.

I love the fact that I can take it to the beach and not have to worry about it getting sand or water on it. that's what ruined my other camera

After doing lots of research decided on this model for one primary purpose, to take pictures in the pool and waterparks with my kids during the summer. Picture quality can go from great to descent, but being waterproof is really fun. One thing I wish they would do is change the charging cable, it should be a standard Micro USB cable. Don't expect it to be your only camera, but as an extra camera for water related activities is great.

Enjoying this new waterproof shock resistant camera. Should be good for plenty of pictures and family fun and safe/sturdy enough to let the kids play with. Good quality pictures above and below water too!

A great camera with excellent pictures. The locks are difficult to secure.

This camera is great both in and out of water and both indoors and out. I took this camera to Mexico where I went snorkeling and swimming in caves, not only did the flash work wonders, the pictures came out so clear. The macro setting is amazing and really lets you see nature up close. The night settings and slow shutter work perfectly for pictures on the beach at night. Highly recommended.

Super. Rad. Camera. I do a lot of hiking and climbing in harsh conditions and this camera can handle everything I put I through....and it produces some great quality pics!

I really enjoy this camera. It's simple and takes nice photos. I still have more playing around to do.

Seems to be a great camera! Pictures we have taken look amazing so far! We are going on a cruise and plan to use it while we snorkel. So I've given it a 4 star rating until we've officially used it. Will update review after the cruise to let you know about the waterproof part!

amazing images.. this camera shines in any weather

Great underwater camera. I takes pictures in a large RAW format perfect for enlarging the prints.

Reading reviews, ratings, ads, and comments about this camera led me to believe that it would be excellent for SCUBA diving pictures. However, the 50 ft max really limits your dives since most at least touch 60 feet or so at times. It may be good for snorkeling or pools, but not for SCUBA. It is getting returned.

Easy to operate for a point and shoot for someone with limited digital knowledge.

Took this camera snorkeling and it took decent pics.. Some were pretty clear..

Although I v snapped a lot of pics I m still a beginner and the pics are great!!!
