This camera is very good if you work in the offshore industry. Water proof and shock proof. This is ideal when you are out there on a vessel or drill rig and need to take pictures on the back deck while working. The shock proof feature also works well incase it drops, it doesnt fall apart and the resolution are excellent.

We purchased for our cruise. Very pleased with purchase. Highly recommend for a vacation or just as a daily camera.

I recently dropped the camera hanging from my neck strap (not more than 4 feet). It must have hit something on the floor in the upper right hand corner of the plastic cover and cracked it along with damaging the LCD screen. I sent it to Olympus and while their service and response were excellent, I had to pay $137.17 plus $8.85 tax to repair it. It is supposed to be SHOCKPROOF but now I know better. Olympus should have stood behind their "SHOCKPROOF" claim and repair the camera at no expense to me. The camera is in excellent condition and this accident had nothing to do with the performance of the camera which continued to take pictures. I am very happy with the camera but not with how Olympus stands behind their product.

Just took my new camera through 5 days on the Colorado River. This included 31 separate rapids. The photos were great and the camera worked flawlessly. Lightweight, easy to use, straight forward controls.

If you're looking for a professional camera, look elsewhere, but this is a great camera for its size, price, and rugged capability. The ability to shoot in raw format is definitely a plus, although the only software that can process the raw file is Olympus' own software, which isn't as powerful as some others but can still accomplish most jobs. I haven't tested the rugged capability yet, but it feels really sturdy so I think it will hold up well.

This is a great underwater camera. I reviewed several camera, found this is the best one as far as the underwater shooting is concern, the white balance is much better, which helps for a sharper image underwater. It beats all the other camera in this segment. The camera does a excellent job in the low light condition. However for the outside water, the normal point and shoot camera can give you a better image. Overall I am very happy with this camera. I took it for a family vacation in the Disney cove, Orlando and the picture came out stunning.

Using it now while on vacation. It is easy to use and transfer pictures to my IPad. Love it

Great camera that can be used to take pictures/video underwater and with good results too.

Bought this camera to replace my Olympus TG-820. This camera is an upgrade featuring 16 megapixel, WiFI and GPS built in, and an f2.0 lens. It also allows for RAW image capture. There are a number of preset programs present for easy use in a multitude of settings. There is a P mode similar to DSLRs and an aperture setting. You can add two custom presets as well. The image quality has been great, The one detractor is a lack of lens cap/cover to protect the lens. To overcome this I bought the lens adapter and a protectie lens that comes with a cap. This is working well so far. I take this off when using the camera under water.

Took this camera to Disney. While I prefer my Nikon D3200 for action shots, this was great fun! We even took it in the hotel pool and took pix underwater! Definitely worth the money. Good pics, small to carry in a pocket. No regrets!

This complemented perfectly my normal camera (DSLR) by giving us the option to safely take a camera to the beach, in the pool, snorkeling, and surfing. It is far better than using an iPhone in a water-proof case or a GoPro which is relatively simplistic. Zoom x4 is great and autofocus worked well underwater. The pictures came out fantastic in the water but I was pleasantly surprised how well it worked in dry shots. The video works well but note that the microphone will pick up noise from the camera lens underwater if it is zooming in and out. Pair the camera with a floating wristband and it's perfect.

I am hard on cameras and this one is rock solid - in fact it hit a few rocks and didn't even scratch it. I also like it is waterproof to 45 ft. While I may not dive with it much - if I drop it in the pool/stream/lake - it wont hurt it. It has a very wide angle - I could get more of a scene than my fellow travelers could using their pan mode. The only negative is the battery life. Charge each day or buy two so you don't run out at sunset. .

Had a lot of problem setting up the camera. Still need al lot more practice with it. - Auto Focus - is not intuitive - GPS + Need to download separated application to set it up. Application was not include on the disk. + Once set up worked fine until camera ran out of power. Recharged battery and GPS did not give accurate locations On positive side did take good underwater pictures and movies.

Good camera and so far so good, has not leaked any water in it yet. Has been to mountain rivers, Atlantic Ocean and Hawaii beaches and no issues so far. Does much better in cleaner water than anything but thats expected

I was going to Hawaii so I purchased this camera to use for snorkeling. It takes great pictures both in the water and on land. A bit pricier than the Fuji, but I think it's features are worth it.

This camera was worth the wait. It is feature packed yet easy to use the basic functions without reference to the manual. The zoom capability is fantastic and the resolution is superb. I am still discovering additional capability that just adds to the fun.

I was surprised how great the pictures turned out.

I brought this camera as a secondary for my trip to Mexico. This camera worked flawlessly and did not disappoint with the quality of underwater use. I definitely would recommend this product.

Camera was easy to use. Pictures were sharp, even in some low light conditions under water.

After some unexpected issues, I returned a different camera and bought this one literally a day or so before vacation. Surprisingly happy with it. A bit more than I wanted to spend, but so glad I had it to take some great landscape photos and underwater snorkeling photos. We had a dry suit on snorkeling, so I couldn't adjust the settings once underwater, one of the settings had auto flash fill in so a lot of underwater photos had bubbles or a weird tone while others looked clear as day.
