This camera is awesome. I'm a fairly outdoorsy person, but I'm also clumsy. And this little camera has held up through multiple hikes and falls from high places,

Ive taken this camera scuba diving even past its recomended value die to the lanyard getting cought and being cut. After retrieving the integrity held. I dont know if it was luck but this camera is tough. Took it with me on deployment to Kuwait and with minimal maintenance its still snapping photos.

I’ve been using Olympus cameras for more than 10 years now. This is my first Tough and it fit the bill. I just bought it for a trip this July that included rafting, high altitude, pools, dropping, banging and clinging. It passed all the tests day/night with flying colors. The panoramic photo stitching is really good, as the HDR mode and landscape images. Their batteries last so long as to take many photos at the zoo without using the flash. Nevertheless, I recommend having an extra battery as the HD videos and large photos take a lot of power. The least I like is their proprietary cable to charge/transfer data. In my case, I forgot it back home and could not charge my camera for a whole day. Then I got to a Best Buy and they don’t sell accessories for the camera I bought at their store. I ended up driving 30 minutes to get a universal charger, for the price of another battery. Other than that, I highly recommend this camera.

I have a Olympus EM1MkII kit that I take on all my travels. However, from time to time I need to have a camera for underwater use or in/near waterfalls. This camera fits the bill. I especially like the fact it outputs RAW. I also use it as a backup camera in very dusty situations when I do not want to replace a long telephoto with a "normal" lense for closer work. I just pull out my TG4 from my pocket and take adequate images of the close wildlife action.

I read numerous reviews for underwater cameras before buying this one. It lived up to the reviews as the underwater photos from snorkeling turned out great. However, I wish it had a better zoom lens to get more distance.

The camera takes excellent pictures. It strongest feature is the microscope setting for taking very close up pictures. It is difficult to take video's in a handheld position because it translates into lots of motion. I would recommend some kind of camera tripod for video pic's. I have not tried a body mount yet. I really like the simple buttons. You can snap a picture and then push the video button and start taking video.

Love this camera! Feels like it is built very solid! Love the double locks on the doors! The remote capabilities of the smartphone app kick butt! Takes tack sharp images! Pretty fast lens! Haven't had it underwater YET! Only negative I see is that I wish there was a way to download photos right to a cloud drive and just skip the Olympus app, that is probably a issue with the app and not the camera!

Bought this to take on a 3 week trip. Went to the beach, on boats, a cruise, different cities in Europe, Turkey and Greece and this little camera did what was asked of it. Battery lasts an entire day into the night, Different Scene modes surprised some in our group as results were great. Wi-Fi/GPS feature enabled me to pair with my iPhone so pics transferred without cables or going through a laptop. Great buy.

I've only had the camera a couple of weeks. I purchased it for the microscope mode for equipment teardowns but haven't done a teardown since I got the camera so I can't say how well that mode works. I do have a couple of minor complaints. The biggest one it the on/off switch is exactly where I would expect the shutter. I can't tell you how many time's I've turned it off instead of taking a picture. The shutter is on the far right of the edge, making it difficult to hold the camera and take a picture with one hand. The lens cover seems to be plastic. You would think for $400 you could get some kind of hardened glass. I work in a dirty environment & worry about scratching it. I'll probably end up spending another $75 or so getting a neutral filter & adapter to protect it. Speaking of dirt & grease, I got the black camera because I was afraid the red one would end up smudged. The wrist strap is still a big red thing that I'm sure will start looking pretty tacky. Also, it looks like the lens adaptor only comes in red (not completely sure that is true). What I'm saying is you might as well get the red one if you are going to be adding accessories. Lastly, I go through the battery pretty fast. Granted I keep the GPS on but I have to charge it every day. It's probably worth buying a charger and extra battery.

The camera is exactly as advertised and described. My only small concern is that the lens could use rainx for coming up from taking submerging shots
