Good camera with good resolution pictures can be taken.

Camera viewfinder fogged on the first day-returned

Have been using 4 of these since July - perfect for our needs as property preservation contractors since they have the built in GPS encoding, Wifi capabilities, and are both shock and water proof. Highly recommend for anyone needing those features.

Olympus should have noted that on the box! Disappointed!

I read a lot of reviews on this camera before buying it and am disappointed that I can't like it and will be taking it back for refund or exchange. Two things affect this decision and they have been stated by other reviewers. One is the low light when using zoom while videoing. Video gets darker as you zoom in, especially when filming indoors.. The second thing is, when playing back a video you can hear a lot of internal clicking noise and the mechanical sound of the lens zooming in and out. I have shot several videos in different settings, being careful not to move my fingers or do anything that will pic up through the mics but the internal noise is still there. This is very annoying and disappointing. I have not used it underwater so I cannot comment on that part. If it weren't for the two problems stated above I would keep it but because of them I will return it.

The camera is still very new, but Best Buy is already encouraging me to write a review so...default is a very wide angle. I was disappointed in the pictures that I had someone take of our group. We all came out talk and skinny but not in a good way. May have been our angle to the camera that didn't help, but anyway I am not a fan of super-wide on a compact. Love the ability to work the camera from my phone as well as change settings (just like my GoPro). It was a toss up between the Panasonic, Nikon and this. Mainly wanted an underwater camera for upcoming vacation.

I purchased this camera just prior to our last vacation. i was motivated by the flip screen for selfies (my wife and I often vacation without others) and the fact that is was also waterproof. Excellent photo quality and great battery life. We even took pictures of fireworks and the sunset on the "Auto" setting and got great results. At the end of our week of vacation, we were still on the first battery. My only problem was that with my large hands, I sometimes activated the menu when we were taking a selfie. This is by far the best point and shoot digital camera that I have ever owned and would recommend it to all.

We purchased this camera because we have two daughters under the age of three...and they haven't broken it so far!

This model has an ultra-wide angle lens which is good for closer-in large objects or groups, and a selfie flip screen and button. The camera takes crisp pictures and focuses well. Easy to use. Camera a bit larger and screen view a bit smaller than the TG4. Improved in most respects from my 5 year old Stylus 6020.

I did a lot of research before deciding to go with a TOUGH camera (waterproof, drop proof, etc). I have 3 young kids and didn't want to have to worry about the camera getting broken. Added bonus: I could go swimming with it and take pictures underwater (WAY COOL). Took it underwater to test it out right after buying it, and it worked great. Took it swimming again this year and it literally filled up with water. I opened the door and water POURED out. I emailed Olympus support who were very helpful. NOT. They advised that the warranty lasts 12 mo. For such an expensive camera, you would think it would be a little longer than that. Now almost exactly 1 year after shelling out big bucks on a "NICE" camera I am going to need to buy yet another one. It will NOT be an olympus camera.

We purchased the camera after reading reviews from several different sights. We went on vacation and during our vacation went snorkeling and took the camera to catch some great pictures. We were in the water and I was taking pictures when all of a sudden the camera stopped working. I was, to say the least, very disappointed. That night in the hotel I rinsed the camera and let it sit in water, like the instructions tell you to do, and let it dry over night. The next morning I opened it up and water just ran out of it. I do not have pictures of our vacation because of this camera... While snorkeling the people around us were using various water cameras that I read bad reviews about and they were having a great time taking lots of pictures...wish I had purchased it instead of the one we chose. It all comes down to taking chances.

I bought this camera this summer after my waterproof Nikon died after 2+ years of regular use. It was cheaper and had a couple of extra features. Anyway when I went to Cancun, Mexico this October 2015, condensation developed between the outer glass and the camera lens and it never went away. Any picture taken with this camera turned out too blurry to enjoy. I tried everything to get rid of the condensation while in Mexico and it NEVER went away. When my vacation was over and I returned to the less humid NC the condensation went away and I went to best buy and luckily I bought the protection plan and exchanged it for the waterproof Nikon.

Don't buy an olympus waterproof camera. They leak and after 2 times of use and Olympus customer care won't do anything to make the problem right. My camera leaked and I sent it in for repair. They were unalbe to fix my camera and refused to send me a new camera. But they sent me a 20% off coupon to buy an new one. Why would a person want to buy an new camera from Olympus if they can't make things right with the one you already have. As you can see these camera's aren't cheap to begin with. This was the most expensive "disposable waterproof" camera I have ever bought. I say disposable because all I can do it throw it away. Save your money and buy a different brand!!!

Like that it's tough, shock-proof and water-proof. It also feels good in my hand. Oh yeah, it also takes great photos.

I have used Olympus waterproof cameras the past 8 years. I normally get the newest one out, (I believe its the TG-4 currently) but this time I just didnt want to spend the extra $100 so I decided to go with the TG-860. I do not like it. The picture quality isnt the best in my opinion. The pictures all seem kinda blurry no matter what setting I have it on or what Im taking a picture of.. I hate that I dont like it because now I have to spend more than $100 to get a different one.

I purchased as a wedding gift to use at the beach.

I purchased this camera to go on a diving trip. The dive was in 35ft of water on a reef. This camera says it's good to 50ft and it never made it to the reef so I could take video or pictures. Seals failed and filled with seawater. Unfortunate....I will be sending a letter to Olympus as well.

Bought it new, used it twice and work no more! Water leaking that Olympus don't want to recognise! Just one recommendation: don't buy that camera.

I knocked it on a ledge of water in Hawaii. It was only in 2 foot of water. Guys found it after 10 minutes. It had water in it. Tried 2 different batteries and it does not work.
