I found it to be easy to use, with plenty of features. It takes acurate pictures, easy to hold and carry. You can take it anywhere and not worry about dropping it or getting it wet. Easily fits in you pocket. I haven't had any issues with mine.

Overall, the Olympus Tough TG5 is a decent point-and-shoot waterproof camera. However, the camera died 3 weeks after purchase while I was on vacation. The battery failed to recharge, and, upon further investigation, it measured zero volts, indicating a defective battery, not necessarily a defective camera. Unfortunately, Best Buy does not carry batteries for this camera, so I wasn't able to buy a spare during the initial purchase and, even worse, I had to return the entire camera and order a new one, just to get a new battery. Other than that, my only other complaint is that the zoom is not very powerful and produces quite soft photos when zoomed in. This shortfall is made up for, though, by its extremely good "microscope" macro setting. If you tend to shoot a lot of close-ups, this camera excels! Speaking of excelling, the Best Buy customer service desk was excellent! They took the camera back with no questions asked. I told them I would be glad to accept just a new battery, but they ordered me an entire new outfit.

I bought this for my wife for our trip to Todos Santos Mexico over winter break. I wanted to get her something she could take to the beach and to go snorkeling with. Overall the camera performed very well both in the water and on the beach. The pictures were generally very clear- although some of the underwater shots were a little blurry- that could be user error though. We took underwater movies when snorkeling with whale sharks and the videos came out beautifully. I was originally considering a GoPro but I am glad I decided to get this camera- so much more for the money!

I love this camera! I bought it for my trip to Alaska and I returned with some very nice pictures. I took it everywhere, dropped it a few times and it’s still in great condition. I really appreciated the ability to transfer pictures over Bluetooth to my phone. I did want a cap on my lense, but you have to buy an adapter in order to do that. I would consider myself a novice, but I am using this camera to delve a little bit deeper into better photography, such as shooting raw format

This camera works well and does good underwater. I have shot about 500 photos with it so not many . Only issue I have with this camera is I gets sand around the front bezel and into the camera when shooting . Sure you can get the sand out and it does NOT affect your photoessays but it is a super pain to get it out . The sand also gets the bezel stuck so you can’t take it off to soak and clean the saltwater off the camera

This camera has many great features, especially the wifi that allows you to view and transfer all pictures to your phone using the app. Perfect camera to capture all of our travels and adventures

This is one tough camera. I have dropped it on concrete & asphalt several times already and it really stands up to it. This camera is great for regular close up pictures. The 4x optical zoom just doesn't cut it if you need to zoom in on anything that is over 75ft away. You need to buy the accessories zoom lense for that. Not practical for a ruggedized camera if you ask me. Especially with the way technology is, there is no reason it couldn't have 5x optical and 4x or even 5x digital zoom built in. Because of this I don't recommend this product if you need a ruggedized camera for work purposes like I do. As a person use product I would recommend it.

We bought this camera before leaving to Hawaii I used it in the beach, while snorkeling and sight seeing. It took some awesome clear pictures. It was worth the amount we paid for it.

Great camera...very many options, takes some time to learn and find them..but plenty of settings and options. Its waterproof, crushproof, drop proof, coldproof, etc...the only fault I'e found so far is the screen is easily scratchable---so i recommend getting a screen protector! But it worked great for under water shots!!

Bought this camera because it has both a Microscope and a Macro setting. Tho photos are exquisitely clear and the color quality is excellent. The zoom is not long but the photos are well-scaled and precise. The portability, weather and dust sealing, and the red color are also why I chose this camera. For zooming, I use other cameras.

Very nice camera, very rugged, easy to navigate, the resolution on pictures and video is excellent, i would suggest buy an adapter so you can put a clear/Uv filter because the lens is exposed and may be prone to damage. Not to mention its an awesome looking camera.

This is a great little camera. I use it mostly for underwater family pool pics so far and it takes terrific pics. It is very solid and the images are a nice step up from a cell phone.

We bought this camera while on vacation in Florida and a cruise to the ABC islands. My wife used it extensively while snorkeling. This camera worked flawless under water and she was able to take pictures of all kinds of fish. It worked just as good out of the water as well.

This camera is great for underwater adventures as well as unbelievable close-ups. The first camera we bought was defective, and Best Buy immediately took it back and we had a new one delivered within a few days - and it works perfectly!

It was time for a new gopro but I wanted to see what other options were available and ended up with this great camera. The still images and the 4k video are great! 4k, great pics, and waterproof - i'm very happy with this purchase!

The body did scuff when I dropped it but no internal damage. Dropped it in 3 feet of running water and no problems. Seems to take better pics than the tg4 I had previously.

I love Olympus underwater digital cameras. Reviews don’t lie. This tops all the lists. Purchased to replace my old TG camera and there’s definitely been improvements, which says a lot since my previous camera lasted over 5 years of abuse.

bought this camera for mostly under water use, but its overall function and ability is great. Takes good quality shots and i am pleased with the capability and outcome. great photos and capture some good memories!

Sometimes you get features, and sometimes you focus on durability. With my kids and clutzy wife, we went with durable. Also wanted one that could go to the ocean or pool and still work. Nothing to break off.
