Serious junk
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a terrible desktop this was. I saw was because I've already tossed it into the trash. It arrived with none of the usb ports working.. not a single one. I looked inside and no wonder - they weren't hooked to anything and nothing to hook them to. The DVD died the 1st time I used it. Video card went out within 3 months. Fans are the cheapest available and failed inside of a few months. Getting support from HP was so nightmarish I finally gave up. On & on it went 1 thing after another until I stopped dumping money into this money pit and threw it away.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looks beautiful. Was working good. For only two weeks... had to return it. It was an open box when I bought it. Seem like it had been used pretty good. Sure if it would of been new it would of been super

Great Pc For A Person With A Low Budget.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great pc it runs very silent, it also has both internet and Ethernet connection. My favorite part though is it's hardware this beast of a machine has a I7-7700 and a GTX 1070. It never gets warm either.

Don't buy this type,it has design problem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Video card disassemble many times in a year, even when I am not playing games. HP can only change the broken video card but can’t solve the bad design problem. After the warranty, I have to discard the computer, I can’t refund this computer with problems due to Best Buys’ unfair policy. I can’t afford change a Gtx 1070 every month. This bad design computer brings me so many troubles,so don’t buy it. It has already cost me over 400dollars to repair this computer, but this problem can’t be solved. And I will never buy any products in Best Buy again.

Great Budget Gaming Rig!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought my Omen 870-244 in late summer of 2018. As most of the other reviews say, the components that make up this machine are an absolutely incredible value. It would be very difficult to build this machine yourself for the asking price. Having thrown many of today's AAA titles at this machine. I have to say that my expectations were definitely exceeded. The stock GTX 1070 is more than capable of running anything from today at very high to ultra settings in 1920x1080. However, it will struggle to keep frames high at a 4K resolution on low settings, or anything above 30hz. So, if you're looking at making your way into the professional gaming world... better keep saving. My only gripe is the exclusion of a SSD. With the price of SSD's today, I can't give it a pass on this for not including one. On the same note however, it isn't a major obstacle to simply add one yourself. When you crack the case open, you will find that things inside are a little bit of a mess. But, everything is manageable and there are plenty of expansions slots to upgrade and add the things you need to, so really complaining about aesthetics isn't really necessary. Overall, if you're looking for a nice machine that will game without upgrade for the next couple years, and many years after that with only a few dollars thrown in... This is the machine for you. Pros: -The PC is whisper quiet even under a heavy load, despite having only air cooling. -Value -Performance Cons: -No SSD -Cable Management

Poor airflow, too many proprietary components
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Save your time and money and buy a better value pre-built from somebody like CyberPower PC. I'm not sure if newer model Omen's have become better, however this one was pretty crappy. Proprietary motherboard and cooler, only 2 of the 4 ram slots even worked, graphics card is a reference blower style card which is not good for gpu thermals, and no dust filtering of any kind. Mine getting fried by a lighting strike was a blessing in disguise.

Great but not perfect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm using this for World of Warcraft mostly but I'm grinder/farmer more than a serious raider. I was really worried about this thing when I got it because of it's smaller size thinking it would have a problem with the heat. After about a month of heavy use I heard the cooling fan come on 3 or 4 times for a total of about a minute in that month. I'm using two monitors and usually have one on Netflix (full screen) and the main one Warcraft (1920 X 1080) usually running 120 to 140 FPS. As hard as it may be to believe, this thing handles all that at idle, seriously, the cooling fans don't even come on. The light on the front is under advertised. I thought it was just a decoration but it is a performance monitor which can be set to show CPU temperature or CPU usage. The color will shift from blue to red depending on the load or you can set your own colors. This is simply brilliant. For you non gamers, during the day I'm running Fidelity Active Trader Pro on 2 monitors usually with one or two live video news feeds and about 5 browser windows open. Again this thing does it without breaking a sweat. Seriously, the cooling fan doesn't even come on. The not so great stuff: For some reason not having USB connectors on the front has become fashionable (or trendy). Whoever thought of this needs to be removed from the industry and maybe given a job designing sneakers or something. Connectors on the top will collect dust and in most desktop setups are a pain to get at. These are on the top and actually on a sloped panel facing to the rear. With my setup I they are almost impossible to get at so I needed to get a USB hub with 3' cord for daily use. Not having a SSD startup drive on this is pretty stupid. I bought one with it and didn't even bother running it without installing it first. Once you go SSD you will not come back. This has about a 9 second startup time with it and I'm sure it adds a little to the performance I just listed. So from someone who sits at a computer 10 to 12 hours a day doing just about everything and you can add Photoshop, video editing and converting to the things I just listed this thing is more than I expected. Move the USB connectors and toss in an SSD drive and it's perfect.

HP Omen
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After returning the Dell that I purchased due to operation failure, I upgraded to this computer. It is fantastic! No problems at all with the operations of the Omen. I am so glad I made this purchase. It is a sleek looking tower and the specs are great. I'm not really a gamer, but I wanted a fast and reliable computer that would last me for a long time. I love the way it lights up in different colors. You can't go wrong with this computer. It can be upgraded to 64gb which as another plus for me.

Couldn't get it to work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Brand new out of the box....started up one time, shut itself down and now getting multiple error messages on startup. Totally inexcusable for a computer at this price - returning in less than 24 hours.

This is the HP to buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer is outstanding. It has the RAM, the processor, and the memory and one of the best Nvidia GPU's. Buy this and then buy a SSD and you'll have a great system. The SSD was easy to install and Windows was a snap to migrate over. Games play awesome on my new 4K TV, with no heat issued or anything. Omen rocks!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's decent price desktop with all latest configurations. I bought one on black Friday for $1149.99 and really enjoying it. Only missing hardware in this desktop is SSD which you can buy Samsung 500GB for $139 or 250GB for 89.99.
