Customers admire the Omen by HP Obelisk's performance, graphics card, and ease of use, frequently praising its speed and quiet operation. Many appreciate the value for the price and ample storage, although some mention that the cooling system could be improved and that an optical drive is absent. Fan case size
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Why this Omen Pc case doesn’t have a place that I can add fan in front. For the rear fan. Why is it only 90mm fan case, the fit screw that i cant change to 120mm fan case.

If there were better choices, I'd buy it.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.quirky, barely adequate, no support. It works...sort of, on those days when HP isn't cutting in with some stupid message.

Horrible Product
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I unboxed and set up this PC the day I received it. I Immediately ran into a boot issue(would not boot...beeps signified a bios issue). I brought it back the next day and exchanged it for a new one. Again, same exact issue. I brought it back to my local Best Buy and the tech kept it for a day and worked on the bios. The problem was alleviated. Now, almost 9 months later, I am experiencing another boot issue. This time it appears to be the power supply, because it will power on, and 2 to 3 seconds later power off. This repeats until you unplug the power source. Although it is under warranty, I have had nothing but issues trying to contact HP The start of warranty claim. Also, that means the unit will have to be shipped off for who knows how long and I will be without it. I will never purchase another HP product.

Best desktop I've had in years
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this for about two weeks and finally got around to installing, updating, deleting all of the files and items for this PC and I have to say, that SSD and 16gb of memory make a huge difference in the speed and performance of this thing. I didn't time how long it takes to boot up, but its noticeably faster than my previous HP Omen desktop without the SSD drive. The fact that I get the boot speed of an SSD and the additional storage of the 1TB drive is perfect for me. This rig is stylish with it's see through side panel and selectable color display of the tower gives it a mean, modern look. It has a sizeable footprint and takes up some decent space, but with everything you get in this thing, it's worth the lost real estate under my desk. It has multiple inputs include HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort, USB-C, USB-A, etc. It's extremely quiet and if it weren't for the flashing light on the front, I wouldn't even know it was on. I do have a couple of negatives about this PC, which is why I gave it four and not five stars. One, for a computer at this price point, I would have liked to see a wireless keyboard and mouse. The keyboard is quite uncomfortable to type on for extended periods of time as the buttons seem really close for a full-sized keyboard. Second, there is no optical drive. That may not be so important to some people but for me I used it frequently to create hard back ups of files and data. While the cloud is nice, I prefer to have several backup methods including the cloud, backup hard drive and a physical DVD. As I said, that might not be that big of a deal to some, but I would like to see one. There is room for expansion, so I may pickup to install or see if my portable Philips DVD-Writer will work with it. Other than those two things, this thing is fantastic.

Build your own computer.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I made the mistake of buying a prebuilt PC with little knowledge of it. Although it is not bestbuy’s fault, I have had countless problems out of this computer. I had to return it once already because of the fans grinding, and now I suspect that the hard drive is failing. Just look elsewhere.

Broke less than 45days
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this for my son for Christmas on December 26. Before January was over it broke. Geek Squad sent off for repairs. Now we are 3weeks into repairs and still no update. Very disappointed for my son. Definitely buy the warranty because the manufacturer warranty is not very good.

The Hype didn't match the preformance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was told how great this computer is and its wonderful, but it keeps losing internet signal, its not as fast as I was told it would be and can't handle what I was told it would hold. Pretty disappointed here.

Good for gaming
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s been 5 years and the computer still runs great. I play cs2 and other games almost everyday and I experience very minimal lags, I’m looking to upgrade soon to have 0 lags lol

Great computer system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not very computer literate but the folks at Geek squad help with everything so once I got home plugged the computer in. Everything was right at my fingertips. It is so user friendly. Both my husband and grandson also has enjoyed it. My husband can’t wait to get to use the editing features with his photos.

Need help
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this gaming pc for my son 5 years ago. He is now 12yrs old and wants me to buy him a new pc but am back and forth on buying a new one or upgrading this one. I am not really a pc guy so i have NO clue on what im doing at all. My son claims to know what he is doing but im not comfortable letting a 12 year old take apart a $1000 machine but i guess i have to start somewhere right. what are some of the best upgrades that i can do to this pc? I think i rather just upgrade this one rather than spend $1000 on another entry level gaming PC as all the reviews i read say this this pc is upgradable.
