Not my favorite Tarantino film - but a great one!

I went into the film having watched the trailers, and understanding that Sharon Tate and Charles Manson were involved in the plot. I'll admit, I'm pretty ignorant to the history of Charles Manson - but my girlfriend filled in the gaps for me. Once I stopped trying to figure which direction the story was going, I enjoyed the movie. This is definitely something that requires multiple viewings, as of right now it's not one of my favorite Tarantino flicks - but I still thought it was great. I wanted to add that the set design and production quality are INSANE. I'm a car guy, not a "motor head" but I have a photographic memory for makes and models - I didn't spot ONE modern day vehicle in this movie (something a lot of movies tend to screw up). This steelbook has a pretty cool design, though I would have appreciated the collector's edition (it was sold out).

I love this film. Brad and Leo are cinematic gold. One of their finest performances. One of Tarantino's best films to date, which says a lot after seeing his Inglorious (Best Buy won't let me use the rest of the title)(Pitt) and Django Unchained(Leo) starring both these terrific actors. The ending was unexpected and quite delightful. I really wish this was how Sharon Tate's story had gone instead of how it did. I really enjoyed the karma that the Manson "family" were dealt. I recommend this movie to everybody. It is highly entertaining. Also Leo and Brad are easy on the eyes!!!

Well, now that there's word that a new four-hour cut of the movie may be on the way next year, there will certainly be a new edition coming, if you're a true Stan for this movie right now, you cannot beat this edition. I really wish that the vinyl single record included was the song that Rick Dalton sings on the Hullabaloo show in the film ("Behind the Green Door"), but "Good Thing" is a great second choice. The MAD Magazine facsimile written as a "Bounty Law" parody is awesome, as is the Italian film poster. This set is a total celebration of the film, top to bottom!

If you're a Quentin Tarantino fan, it's a no-brainer to pick this one up. Loved this move in theaters, and it keeps getting better every time I watch it. As for the product itself - it's great that this package offers a Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital copy. Guarantees that you'll always be able to watch the movie - even if your Internet goes out, or if one day your Blu-Ray player stops working and you choose not to buy another one...

Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood tells the story of Hollywood's golden age in 1969 L.A. Quentin Tarantino wrote and directed this film and it is one of his best. The cast of Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and several other well known names along with the excellent story make this a very entertaining film that is highly enjoyable. The 4K Ultra HD picture and DTS-HD MA 7.1 sound is excellent. Love the SteelBook version as well. Tarantino never disappoints his viewers. Great film and highly recommended!!

I have the 4K version and bought this Blu Ray for my brother and his wonderful wife and...They reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally like it! Hippies! Hippies! Hippies! And "Kato"! And the best golly-gee-whiz ending in a film for quite some time! Need I say more? Buy it and enjoy it again and again. The first time I saw this I backed it up and watched THAT fabulous ending three, count 'em!, THREE times in a row! Superb-A-Mundo! Trust me. I know what I'm doin' when I'm reviewin'.

This will be a review of the edition of this film, not the film itself. I'm not here to tell you how to feel about Tarantino's latest. The transfer is immaculate, and I dearly hope it is not the last Tarantino film to make it to 4K. Seeing the colors pop thanks to the HDR implementation has me excited to see his other films. There is no better way to experience this film, so provided you have the setup to play it (remember, PS5, and Xbox One S/X and Xbox Series X can play 4K discs), buy this.

Tarantino has once again slightly rewritten history as he did in "Inglourious Ba$terds" but meanwhile this is as you may have heard a "love letter to the golden age of Hollywood" or some such hype. It's all true and if you are of a certain age you will wax nostalgic at the black and white TV westerns and crime dramas of the time. Brad Pitt has the cherry role here as Rick Dalton's (DeCaprio) stunt double, though both do excellent work. Many of the Tarantino regulars make appearances if all too briefly. Highly recommended.
