A good enough movie. Nothing special. The actors were good.

If you are a fan of Tarantino, this film will not disappoint.

This is not the gratuitous violence-fest that most of Tarantino's movies tend to be. Instead, you get a story that lovingly presents Hollywood as it sort of once was, with a much more satisfying ending than you're expecting ... and a little bit of violence when it works really well. Great cinematography, acting, directing and set work. Highly recommended!

Good movie with great acting....Brad and Leo are outstanding

I know this movie was well received critically but it did not interest me to enough to go see it in theaters. I will say, the movie's premise is interesting and this is one of those movies that is entertaining to watch and looks beautiful (usually the case with Quentin). I can't exactly put my finger on WHY I enjoyed it so much but I did. The ending, and the performances of Pitt and Leo really did it for me if I had to absolutely say more so than the actual story. Oh, also...the steelbook is great (I'm huge on these).

This was a good movie and I was glad it was available in 4K.

Brad Pitt, Leonardo Dicaprio, and Margot Robbie lead a star studded cast in Tarantino's newest film Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Set in the 1960s, this film is beautifully shot, perfectly cast, and an all around solid entry for Tarantino. A very lovely, quirky movie that all boils up to an infamous night in American crime history at the home of Sharon Tate and Roman Polanski. An instant classic, and one that will be talked about for some time. Buckle up for a wild ride in Hollywood, as you've never seen before.

Not only is this a reference quality 4k disc but when I opened the steelbook I got lucky because their was an extra 4k copy of the movie. Now this is a movie I can watch over and over just for the performances alone. So subtle you will miss about 20-30 clues that all point to the finale. I felt like I was in a time machine. So much nostalgia from the 60s. The music, the playfulness, this is just a really fun and enjoyable movie to watch. It's about Human beings being human. Pitt & DiCaprio make a great screen team.

As far as the product itself goes, 4K of course delivers the goods for this film. Picture is sharp, and the few night scenes are crystal clear. As for the film itself, I must say I am disappointed in Mr. Tarantino. This did not at all feel like what I have come to expect from him. My issues are primarily threefold: 1) Plot. Every Tarantino film has had some kind of through plot to which all subplots connect well and are layered masterfully. This film lacks any real plot. Some may say that it is the aging Rick and Cliff making their way through a new Hollywood, but that’s just a setting and context. Some may say that it’s the Cielo Dr Murders, but that’s at best a tacked on subplot. Every other Tarantino film is fairly easy to summarize the plot of. Trying to summarize this film is nearly impossible, partly due to my next point. 2) Historical Context. The biggest problem with this film is that it is made by Hollywood, for Hollywood. A lot of the name and events are staples and icons of Old Hollywood, but are not well known by the public at large today. Most people aren’t familiar with Sharon Tate, or Polanski, or even the Manson Murders other than knowing that Charles Manson was a crazy killer. The film presumes a vast amount of knowledge on the part of the viewer to really truly understand and comprehend what is going on. A passing knowledge will get you through a good bit, but not all. 3) Tarantino Violence. You can’t have a Tarantino film without over-the-top violence. But that was a problem here. The violence felt like it was there simply because it is Tarantino and expected. But the issue here was that for the first time in my opinion, Tarantino was truly gratuitous and pointless in his violence. It was brutal, but not in any clever way we have come to expect. It was also greatly pointless. All other Tarantino fights have in some way served the greater plot, driven the story, or developed character. Here, it did none of the above (see point 1). It felt out of place, random, and honestly the film probably would’ve been better without a great deal of it, if not all of it. I know that this film is really popular with critics, and with fans, but I do believe this is a case of Hollywood getting the feels over a movie about Hollywood, and fans parroting it because Tarantino is reliably great. But I think in this case, Hollywood is blinded by its own glittery past, and fans need to realize that Tarantino can actually let us down.

Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood proves that old dogs can learn new tricks. In this case, Tarantino takes a little more (OK, a lot more) time building a story and character detail before letting loose in the final moments. You get what you expect here--including a recurring cast that is always at the top of its game and a killer soundtrack--but you also get a little more love than other recent outputs like Django Unchained and The Hateful Eight. The result is movie magic.

Overall a very good movie. Great acting and story.

Good movie, Had some really good twist to the plot

Great packaging, and to be honest that's probably the main reason why you would want a steel book, comes with 4k and blu ray with a digital copy. But the supplementary material could be better. The menus are a bit bland and don't display enough info, but it is probably because there just isn't much to show in the first place. Glad to have a decent amount of deleted scenes. It was nice to see more of Charlie's character in action, but I was mainly hoping for the cut Tim Roth scene. If you want the blu-ray and can get this edition for $15 you should do it. The future-proofing is nice and the edition looks great with all of my other Tarantino steelbooks
