I needed a 2 zone unit. One zone for my home theater and one for my back yard speakers. This unit does a great job at both. I really like the way the unit works on zone 2. I control it completely by my phone and pipe Pandora to my speakers. The app is great. For my home set up it's also fantastic. Great sound and easy set up. I had an earlier version of the Onkyo which used to get very hot but this unit runs cool. I'd buy it again in a minute.

I'm generally very pleased with this receiver. Most importantly, it sounds great. I like the sound better than my old Pioneer Elite it replaced. The controls are pretty easy to use. Although there are so many sound field choices that cycling through the menu can get tedious. I was especially happy with the automated set up process. So much easier than the manual set ups of the past. Wireless and bluetooth reception is good. Not so much for radio reception. I dinged it a star for that. OK, its probably my location, but I was hoping for better. I use Iheart as a work around. Generally would recommend though.

You have to understand that in all products"there can be lemons". With that said I have had now several weeks and I truly love this Onkyo receiver Setup was a breeze, and kicks my Klipsch 28's with the bi-amping. I have a klipsch center, sub, and surround as well. Sweet spot whether a blue ray, or ipod. No regrets, just praise.

My old receiver crashed on a Saturday morning so I went to the nearest Best Buy to get a replacement as it was getting up there in age. Researched this and a Pioneer model which were in stock and I went with this model because it had more HDMI inputs. Works great and what really impressed me was the sound! Hearing sounds from my rear speakers that I never heard before. Definitely recommend this unit.

Upgraded from an older Phillips reciever. Setup was a breeze. I'm not sure what a lot of these reviews are complaining about, and I don't have a lot of experience setting home theater systems. Hook up the wires where it says and turn it on. It finds everything plugged up to it assigns it inputs. Even balances your speakers. (I didn't care for the way it balanced the eq. Needed manual adjustment)

Had my Onkyo now for a number of weeks and have really enjoyed it's great sound? I have a 5.1 setup w subwoofer, and it fills a very large room excellently without getting overloaded. Still using the onkyo iPhone app, and also use a Harmony 650 for control. Sound is wonderful and wireless and Bluetooth connectivity are simple to set up. Route cable through this amp and everything runs great!

I had a onkyo that was over 15 yrs old and loved it. Then I bought this one and the surround sound is amazing so of course my old speakers couldn't possibly do this reciever justice so I bought a new set of Polk and boy was I right. And the Bluetooth is a plus for just sitting back and streaming music off my phone or you could just use one off the apps already installed on the system

I replaced an old onkyo SR-TX804 because the HDMI died. So rather than repair it I bought this new receiver. First off old receiver was 29lbs and this one is 23lbs. Old one seemed better built. It had a cool blue led behind the metal volume knob. New one had no led and a plastic knob. The buttons on the new one are crammed in one section on the front panel even know there is tons of space to place them. Sound wise is good. I havent used all the options yet. Works as good as the old receiver I just hope the HDMI holds up.

This Onkyo receiver was purchased to upgrade another popular brand. This receiver is a must for anyone using 4K! It syncs with all of my electronics and talks to my TV and DVD player. It up converts older electronics to 4K quality sound and picture. Receiver is so easy to use!

Great, easy setup once you get everything hooked in properly. Had some issues with the speaker wires not being totally within the posts so it tripped the receiver, but once I got it all fixed it has been good. The only complaint is for the 2 zone if you are using airplay it has to play on both zones, example if I am watching TV zone 1 and airplay music on zone 2 it will play music on zone 1, maybe there are some more setup things I can do but that is what I have seen so far.

I have this badboy hooked up to some Bowers speaker and it drive unmatched sound quality for all my home theater needs.

I like the features and sound quality that this Theater Sound system provides, from Bluetooth, Airplay, Chrome and multiple HDMI inputs. Having a 7.1 system really provides high quality output. Easily interfaces with any iOS or Android device to play Amazon Music playlists is a plus!

Love this receiver. I coupled my receiver with 6 Polk monitor 70’s and Polk cs2 center channel, and 2 klipsch 12” 400 subwoofers. The sound is encredible.

Receiver is extremely flexible and allows for most any home theater setup. I am using this receiver with Martin Logan Motion 40 fronts, Motion 8 center, Motion FX rears, and Dynamo 700W Subwoofer. AccuEQ setup is super easy and sets the speaker balances very well. Great sound quality.

Yes, I tried to save a little money. Ordered open box, and it did say certified and all equipment. No so. The 1st unit did not work at all. Missing calibration mic and English manual. No antenna cables. Manual in Spanish. but downloaded English version. Unit would only display NG: L R. Onkyo said defective. Returned to Best Buy and they replaced. So far so good.

Meets all my needs, live the Bluetooth option, play music from my phone.

This receiver is awesome at this price point!! It powers my 7.1 surround very easily!! Really like the fact that it has the 4K Ultra HD pass thru!! Very easy to set up and the THX setting really brings out a crisp clear surround experience!

Awesome sound and video quality. My speakers sound fantastic and watching tv at home was never sweeter. Easy to hook up and set up. Phone app is very useful especially for music playback/ streaming. I'm very happy with this purchase.
