This receiver replaced an old Samsung receiver. While the Samsung was a good machine in its day, this ONKYO is a much better unit and at a great price. I like that I can set the ohms on the speakers thru the ONKYO's menu to match the speakers I have from the Samsung. Easy automatic adjustment of the speaker levels thru the set up microphone. (Go to ONKYO.com and download the full owner's manual for easy reference of advanced settings, etc.). This comes with the basic manual only. I recommend this unit.

Small, sounds awesome and looks good. Wish there was a way to completely black out the front screen display while watching movies.

This is my second Onkyo one for my TV and the other for my HI-FI. You wont be disappointed. Great sound.Lot of power to.

This A/V receiver does it all. Plenty of HDMI connections. Easy to hookup and setup functions. Very happy with purchase.

This is my 3rd purchase of this receiver. I think it offers the most features for the price, and it sounds great.

Excellent sound quality, excellent price from BB (Less than $ 400), has some large condensers, which powers the instant sound peaks - really good for driving demanding speakers.

Great receiver with lots of cool features. The best is the wi-fi connection, you can stream your music directly to the receiver, bypassing AppleTV, etc. Also FLAC capable, which I am glad to say will play FLAC files with no dropout between tracks. This is very important for songs that flow from one to another. Switching between sources is also very fast. Very little lag time. 8 HDMI inputs too. I was finally able retire my external HDMI switcher! Very good value.

With all this receiver does it's the Best Buy for your money it has brought out the best in my Cerwin Vega speakers Crisp clear n unbelievable sound the other options are great as well multi room wifi and the surround sound had my neighbors hearing fighter jets and Harley Davidsons very happy with this receiver it was the finishing touch to my home theater system

Love the receiver but its a little challenging to switch around speaker systems (ie A/B). Thought that I could just plug in my I phone to the USB port to play music but that doesn't seem to work. It does work on AIRPLAY mode. Still think that it could be easier to use. Lots of power. Am using it to run speakers for music in my living room as well as small a small set up for home theatre.

This receiver has good sound and numerous sound fields to choose from and is 4K Ready.

The sounds is amazing. The Bluetooth is already equipped, so that was a plus.

Purchased this model mostly because it was on sale at the time, and I needed / wanted dual-HDMI out. Easy setup, and the auto-calibration with the included microphone is nice. Dual-HDMI out is great, and you can configure in the menu to output to one or the other, or both at the same time. HDMI handshaking when turning on or off either output display is way more noticeable than on my previous receiver - but isn't the end of the world. There's also a weird "power off click" that happens shortly after the unit is turned on that I can't explain, but doesn't seem to have any impact.

Needed to replace Onkyo RZ900 that was a great buy at the time but technology moves forward. I needed a 3D pass through and a receiver that could decode 4K and other stuff developed in the last 5 years. So far the system works fine.

I decided to save money & spend $500 on this receiver instead of the $1,500 Denon receiver that I really wanted & I'm very happy with it. I paired it with my 2 Bose 891 in-wall speakers, 4 Bose 791 in-ceiling speakers, a Martin Logan center channel speaker, and a Martin Logan 10" 700 watt subwoofer. It sounds great! I decided to spend more $ on my speakers & less on the receiver because it'll be easy to upgrade the receiver at a later date & already have quality speakers in place.
