I purchased this player to replace a Sony Refurb. that I purchased(from Sony)in 2008,(back then they were starting to be hard to find, and the original production date was 2007) they are no longer available from Sony and checking amazon there are not many to choose from, mainly used. You many find a couple of refurbed(by outside source) and surprisingly did see new, but at double the price of this one. Did see this Onkyo on amazon too, at the same price(also being the cheapest). I'm thinking of going back to purchase the protection plan, $25 for 4 years isn't bad and if something were to happen I'd kick myself for not getting it, especially with multi disc players being hard to find, new anyway.

If you still like listening to CD's this is the way to go for years I was listen using my DVD or in blu-ray player but there is a quality difference. this unit is a little deep so make sure it'll fit but an excellent choice. Bought as an open box.

I had to find a quick replacement for my old 60 disc Technics CD changer. It died on Dec. 5th, 2017 from old age although it wasn't used very much. Anyways I went to the Best Buy Store in Marina, Calif. and this was the only CD player in the store. Being it is made by Onkyo I purchased it. It is being used with my Onkyo Home Theater System and Kef Pro Reference studio speakers. The sound is perfect and I am pleased. I was desperate for a CD player. The price is what I paid for my old Technics 60 disc player more than 15 years ago. $149- I am happy so far. Will see how it works after a year or so.

My 25 year old CD changer finally stopped working. I still live to play my CDs. So glad the players are still made. I love this 6 disc changer! Works flawlessly. Live the little light glowing above the disc drawer so I can see the buttons!

I purchase the Onkyo -6-disc player model;dx-c390(b) 3/26/2020 easy hook up easy to use great cd player for the price . I have had high end cd players out of the box that did not work like they should for a lot more money (Yamaha) . so far I have not had any issues with the Onkyo it is still early at this point if your looking for a disc changer this is the one for you .

What's not to love. Good sound. Easy to load one disc or six. Wanted this so I didn't have to keep going back to load disc, with six I can load them all and have hours of music.

Device is too wide and does fit in my entertainment.

Very nice quality, attractive, works great! I have so many CDs and my old Onkyo CD player finally broke after over 30 years. I hope this one lasts as long. Great buy!

Just installed yesterday because my old Sony 5 disc unit started skipping and those CD cleaners didn't help. Like many folks on here I have 100 CDs that I still listen to, so I needed to replace my "old tech" CD player to keep that going. It has a large footprint from the 6 disc carousel, so make sure it will fit in your space. Same setup: it's only the RCA L/R jacks and the power cord if you don't want to use the optical connections etc. Sound quality and player quality appear good. No issues from the 2 hours it's been on. When you select Random [to have it choose any track from all 6 discs] it does its little 'display dance' of all the disc numbers after each song before selecting a new song. This one second delay seems unnecessary given the advanced circuitry in it, but I guess they wanted to show you the random process in live-action. But that is my favorite feature in a multi disc player, so its not a complaint, really. Remote works well too.

We needed a new CD Player but wanted to keep with the same make. When we saw the Onkyo player we knew we needed to get it. We love it and would recommend it to anyone.

So happy to find a multi disc cd player that will shuffle the discs! The one we had for over 30 years finally crapped out. Its easy to use and works just fine for a couple of old school retirees!

This piece had to replace an excellent 5 disk that was now old. It fit right in with other components. Sound great, loading easy, and 5 disk options wonderful.

This product is quiet and works great. It's rear overhang doubles as a shelf to temporarily place tools, banana plugs, etc. when setting up your system. And it helps route and drape wires if you have AV components stacked on top of this unit.

Replaced a single C.D. Player with this new 6 C.D. Onkyo player. This unit is performing flawlessly while providing a more detailed music experience then my old C.D. player which cost four times as much. At $149.00 at my local Best Buy Store this was a great purchase, I would strongly recommend this unit .

A rock solid CD changer. Quiet and easy to operate. Especially like the remote. It makes the unit so much easier to operate.

First, there was price drop on this item that made the decision to buy very easy. I had been planning to purchase it at some point as the reviews were good and we wanted a CD player that could give us longer run time versus swapping out discs on a single disc player. Its pretty simple to operate with or without the remote, the sound is good for the variety of musical genres in our collection, and we look forward to years of enjoyment

It does what it is supposed to do; I'm very happy with it. It's a bit slow pulling up the next CD, but that's very minor. The sound is very good. My previous CD changer allowed me to adjust the volume via the remote using the audio out control, but this doesn't have that, neither in the remote nor the charger itself. I do miss that feature. The control buttons are rather small.
