Simple to use, provides enough power for a home theater system. Wish it came with a amp for the subwoofer.

This unit works perfectly to utilize all our devices through the surround sound. The only downside is the unit itself is very large and doesn’t fit well in a regular tv stand. We had to place the unit in the lower cupboard compartments in our tv stand, which makes using the remote control almost impossible. If it would fit well in our stand, I would give this product 5 stars.

Overall, this is one of the least expensive 4K receivers that enables HDR pass-through. With that being said, it's a bit underpowered, but should suffice for most rooms. The on-screen interface is old and not very intuitive, and there aren't many tweaks or adjustment settings. I'd have preferred to get something from Yamaha but the cost would've been 2-3x as much if I wanted HDR support.

I bought this receiver to use speakers in the back yard. The interface is not well done and may have inexperienced users confused on how to set up the unit. Sound quality is nice and the left/right channels mix properly. You get what you pay for but this unit beat my expectations.

Great receiver. Install took only a few minutes. Easy to operate. Great sound and picture quality.

We are very pleased with the sound quality of this unit. Given that our other equipment is rather old, we were pleased too that the unit has nice backward compatibility, including working with our VCR unit. We thought our speakers needed to be replaced, but it turns out that our old receiver was worse than we knew, speakers sound great again!

This receiver is easy to setup. The sound is good. Remote is easy to use.

I had a pioneer for 7 years which could have been a twin to this Onyko unit - difference being, the same in common features work easily on the Onyko, while they were a royal pain with the Pioneer. Very straightforward operation. I have a philosophy: New tech should ALWAYS be - easier to use tech!!! I still do not grasp these "deep echo" modes. Who likes to listen to those options?

This Onkyo receiver replaced one that was 10+ years old but some other AV components began failing (TV turning green, DVD player quit). Replaced the TV and DVD but couldn't get the DVD player to play. After my own analysis confirmed by 2 different techs at Best Buy I replaced the AV Receiver and walla!! everything works now. But I then did have to replace my old 6 disc CD Player as well. I call it my "snowball" experience.

This is a good receiver I just wish I had gotten the one a step up in power. This one will get pretty load but when real loud it has to work hard.
