Good sound for the money

Works best after I configured my xfinity cable remote programmed to operate both turning it on and off. Still having problems getting the Bluetooth to pair with my iPad and iPhone

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an onkyo 7.1 receiver for 10 years and then one evening I sat to enjoy a movie and the "lights were on" but the silence was deafening. This was on sale and I thought great I can have that "theater" experience again at home. The lag time before you get sound is up to a minute at times. You can turn the bass on and adjust it and 5 minutes later it's gone again. My only positive about this unit is the sound is better than the TV's built in speakers. Being a card carrying Onkyo customer for years and years this was a huge let-down. Unfortunately I was in the middle of some remodel work and it stayed safely away from the dust in the box until past it's store return date.

Great product

I would have given a 5 star but the thing stopped supplying sound through the speakers. My warranty expired, and of course i didnt extend it. Took it to Bjorns. Estimate starting at $300.00. So I bought a Denon and sold the Onkyo. I hope it was just an isolated incident.

Excellent starter AV receiver

This does not have all the bells and whistles like Pandora or Spotify but it does everything it needed like 4K passthrough and bluetooth. It works extremely well and setup was very easy. I had it up and running within 15 minutes.
