    I just purchased this receiver in April 2017 and by September 2017 the volume/HDMI stopped working. The receiver wouldn't do anything you tell it to do, so I called to get it fixed. That's when I found out that I had to mail it to the shop nearest to me to have it fixed because I didn't buy the extra best buy warranty. What a pain. This is the second item I purchased in April that quit working. I also bought a dryer and it stopped drying. Don't they make anything that lasts more than 5 months anymore??

    I am longtime onkyo fan but not anymore. Purchased unit 12/24/18 and returned 1/5/19 with burned out sat/cbll input. BB replaced with new one. That one had same failure 1/25. Returned to Summerville store and was told by rude female manager send back to onkyo was no longer their problem after 15 days. Went to rivers store and traded up to denon with wonderful people at that store. Avoid Summerville store at all cost and beware of onkyo seems to be problematic. Video will pass thru but sound will not.
