Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the sound quality, ease of use, and Bluetooth capabilities of the TX 5.2-Ch. 4K Ultra HD and 3D Pass-Through HDR Compatible A/V Home Theater Receiver. Many also appreciate the receiver's price and the range of features it offers, including 4K support and ample inputs. While some found the size to be a bit large, and a few experienced issues with bass and volume, the positive feedback on sound and ease of use outweighs these concerns. The setup process was also generally praised for its simplicity.

    TX-SR373 - Excellent Receiver

Excellent receiver!!! Produce great sound. Setup was quick and easy. Calibration was almost accurate too. Great for Movies. One small feature which I find useful is HDMI pass through in Standby, which is useful when watching TV and do not want to use surround sound. Blutooth works perfect. No complaints so far..

    Overheats and shuts off

I would strongly reconsider this product if you intend to keep it long term. I can't get the volume above 40, which is barely enough to enjoy music, let alone a movie in full surround. If I put it at 42, it shuts off after a few minutes from overheating. Save the money and buy something else. This is a short term replacement but I wish I gone with something else....

    Sounds great with minor issues

I have had the receiver for about one week and so far it sounds good through my two Elac Debut 2.0 bookshelf speakers. Sound is crisp and clean without any noticeable distortion during all genres of music and movies/TV. I have an echo dot connected to CD in and it sounds good and the FM/AM stereo sounds good as well. Next I am going to use a HDMI input for some HiRes audio playing from my Macbook Pro. The only Issue I have had is I cannot hook any devices to the hdmi ports on the receiver and send video to my Samsung tv. Lucky for me I only use an xbox one, hdmi plug to my iphone, and the built in smart tv apps so I just have everything plugged into the tv like I did prior to the receiver with an HDMI Arc cord running to the receiver for TV Audio out. I can see where this would be a real pain if you have more hdmi ports than your TV can hold.

For the last 3-5 years Onkyo has been producing excellent home receivers. This receiver tx-sr363 is no exception, great sound quality. Bluetooth is also a feature of this unit.

It was ok, It just died. The interface to set it up is slow, The Bass out stopped working I think it's an internal computer glitch,

True 4K HDR Passthrough and supports all the Mainstream Audio Formats. 5.2 Surround Sound under $200 that supports 4K Passthrough is all you need to know.

Stay away from ONKYO! These are not built to last!

Unit worked fine for 1 year and made a loud popping noise then died completely. I tried troubleshooting on the forums and many people on multiple sites reports that ONKYO has reduced the quality of it's components. From the CPU used to the build of it's power supply, a big portion is faulty and is built to fail. While the sound and picture quality were great when working, you WILL end up with a junk unit and suffer through their horrible customer support to get it fixed (if you're lucky enough to have it fail while under warranty!). You'll then end up going through the hassle of having to ship it (you pay for this) and waiting forever for it to return, only to have it die again after a few months. Go with Sony or Yamaha and stay away from all ONKYO PERIOD! I used to trust this brand but the last 3 things I've purchased from them have given me frustration beyond belief.

Can't beat the price for 4K HDMI passthrough. Wish it had an extra front facing HDMI port like my last model, but for $200 thats a quibble

Run!!! Terrible Receiver & Worse Customer Service

    Posted .

Will not support HDR with 4:4:4 subsampling on any devices with multiple HDMI cords. Will not work with any vizio tvs and you can find multiple complaints of this on forums with a basic google search. Called customer service and they were rude and condescending. Their only solution is to try different hdmi cords but I told them I had already tried 3 different brands high speed 18gbps cords. They finally told me to return it and hung up on me. I purchased this to use the passthrough feature for my vizio m70. It's worthless and they're rude. I own 4 onkyo receivers but I'm returning this one and will never buy from them again.

Broke, replaced it, then broke again.

I purchased one of these receivers and hooked it up in my home. I did a full surround sound setup and noticed that the third speaker was very fuzzy. I inspected it further, tested multiple speakers through the same input and found it to be broken. I returned it to Best Buy and received a replacement. I followed the same process as before. After the setup, I was working on my laptop and listening to background music at a very low volume level and the whole receiver just shut off. I tried to turn it back on, and it wouldn't. I let it sit for several hours and tried again, it still didn't. I checked if there were any hard reset buttons and there are not. I returned to Best Buy and one of the service reps told me "There's nothing Best Buy can do now that it's been too long since the original purchase." Disappointed in Onkyo and Best Buy at this point. What a waste of $240.

    failed after 3 uses

I have only turned this unit on maybe 3 times. It worked great those 3 times. I never noticed that the standby light shut off and It doesn't turn on. After spending money on this I expect it to work so I usually don't buy protection plans and will not deal with onkyo's customer service. I'm probably gonna try to get a new power circuit board or at least a new relay and solder it in myself cause I really have nothing to lose now. I will not buy onkyo again.

Bought it brand new from Best Buy in Feb of this year. I’ve had to send it to company as it shut off during gathering only to receive it back and power it on and it shuts right back off! Not worth the 250 I spent not the the 30 in shipping cost to have it fixed and here it is not working again! I have an pioneer that I’ve had since 2011 that hasn’t broken down once!

    A PIECE OF JUNK

Do not buy this! It will fail just months after usage. We have already fixed it once, but only after waiting one month for it to get fixed, and now it needs fixed again and we are already steamed from waiting a month before. A GENERIC PIECE OF CRAP!!!
