Decent sound

One was an Onkyo , the other a Denon. Compared to those, this new one doesn't seem to have the volume the other did. I have to put the volume to 50 on cable tv to just be able to hear the dialogue. Speaking to a sales guy at Best Buy, he said it should be a setting and told me how to do it but I'm not sure I'll be able to get it figured out. Last night I got a 4K blu Ray player and the sound was much better through that than the cable box.

Make note of the firmware!

Setup is easy as long as the unit has the latest firmware installed... If not, then the unit will not decode Dolby Atmos on a 5.2 system... Had to install the latest firmware version and now all is good...

Amazing Atmos Receiver

Only receiver available that has crossover for each channel, level adjustment for each channel. I could go on and on. Sound quality is excellent. If your on the fence about the receiver, get off the fence and go get it.. Your only regret is that you didnt get it sooner....hahaha

Great sound even with small 4 ohm speakers

I deducted 1 star because the face plate of the unit arrived either defective or slightly damaged (small notches in lower left corner). As a perfectionist and someone expecting a perfectly unblemished new receiver, I will return the 1st one and hope replacement (new order) arrives in perfect condition.

On/Off not compatible with Direct TV remote
