Installation not easy unless you are an audiophile. Took a few hours to understand why I couldn't change listening modes until I accidently changed the "speaker a b" setting. Depth of sound doesn't seem as good as previous receiver (also an Onkyo).

Terrific receiver but advertising content is inaccurate and it had to be returned. The receiver does not permit Bluetooth connectivity from a device to the receiver; rather it provides for Bluetooth to headphones only.

I have owned a lot of A/V receivers going back to when Pro Logic was the best! Most of them cost a bunch. I have owned Pioneer, Denon, Yamaha, and Onkyo and still have the latter two brands. I wasn't expecting much for $199. I was pretty shocked. It sounds fantastic driving 5.1 speakers. Great dynamic range, great seperation and really great features for the price. The speaker EQ is awesome. It takes awhile but perfectly measures setup, size and distance as well as picking crossover (it was off 50Hz). ARC setup with my LG TV worked perfectly. It passes Dolby Vision and 4K great and Atmos and DD work and sound great. It replaced a $600 Dolby Digital Yamaha and kicks its rear. It gets very loud and doesn't get warm. It has too many DSP settings to remember. The downloadable manual is great. A couple notes. The firmware is 8 versions old and takes 30 minutes to update. Second, there isn't squat to stream in Dolby Atmos. After much trial and error and research, Amazon offers only one progam, "Jack Ryan" in 4K and Atmos. Netflix offers a many including the awesome "Wu Assassins" but they won't come through on a Firestick 4K or most or all Rokus. They do stream great using my LG's native Netflix app and that is the ONLY way. So unless your playing Blu-Ray, get used to DD or DD+. Also be sure you use good HDMI cables because optical and cheap ones won't pass digital audio or 4K well. Overall its a great unit. I really don't miss the network interface since a Firestick of Roku stream great sounding music. Most AVR's aren't that great in that respect but this one sounds fantastic!

Works very well with Bose speakers. I even added more to the system.
