Turns off randomly. Sometimes won't turn on. Audio cuts out after resuming a video that was on pause. The audio returns after a couple seconds. Bought 7/21 but didn't hook it up until a week ago. I'm going to throw it away because I can't return it.

This thing has lots of power and more funtions than ill ever need. Very satisfied with my purchase. If there was anything i didnt like was volume goes from 0-100 i needed to go to 60 before i could hear my speakers but i also didnt need to put it on 100 to get the volume i needed.

a receiver you'll be happy with

Nice power, clean sound, great features, however it needs to be connected to a TV in order to satisfy its set-up demands, and my TV is on the other side of the room. I didn't buy this to be part of a home theater system, but to replace my 30-year old receiver. Thank goodness it doesn't require me to communicate with it via a smartphone...

    Onkyo TX 5.2 receiver

I am not a technological driven person, but I recognised it was time to enhance capabilities on my primary system. The TX 5.2 is definitely a very capable receiver for my listening needs. I have a second system that also has an Onkyo receiver that has been exceptionally reliable.

    Very nice receiver

The receiver is solid, especially for the deal I got at Best Buy. I replaced a mid to high level Onkyo receiver (TX705) that I've had for 10+ years with this more entry level Onkyo. No complaints. I find myself even listening to the commercials instead of muting them as I normally do. Speakers (Infinity towers) sound totally different (in a good way).

    Good for 4.1

This is my second Onkyo, and it is versatile, and for the price, I think it's a bargain--if you already have the speakers for a 5.1 system instead of speakers all over your walls or you don't want a sound bar. As with all Onkyo receivers, the on-screen menu system is dated and requires getting used to. However, once you make that adjustment, it delivers the goods.

    Sub out wouldn't work

    Posted .

So I connected the sub out and it barely worked at first. Then nothing out of the sub. It would detect a center channel sometimes after connecting the sub. Even though it was setup without a center. After the sub issue i noticed sometimes it wouldn't play or detect the rear channels. Had the receiver for about 15 days or so before trying the sub. It has nice features for the price. I bought a denon after returning this for the same price. The denon is simpler and has a few less features. The sub now works with the new receiver.
