Great design, short on documentation
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great design and flexible inputs. The only regret I have is that you must connect it to a TV to see the manual! Believe it or not, I use this only for sound.

High end graphics card from PC conflict.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OK here is why I optioned for a 2 star, for normal entertainment media center usage it's OK but if you're going to push a gaming PC with a high end GPU through it, such as a Radeon 5700 or 6700 and or the NVIDIA's you're going to have huge problems, the lower end GPU'S work well, the problem I had was anytime a thunder storm or appliance inside of the house kicked on or off it would cause the video card to shut on and off, it has something to do with the way this Onkyo model receives the input from the GPU's. I resolved the problem by routing the GPU, HDMI through my smart TV HDMI input and used the ARC option from my OLED TV back to the receiver for surround sound.

2 weeks in and already failing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a home theater receiver, failing after only 2 weeks. Cable TV HDMI input already not working and BD/DVD input almost immediately switches to the TV input now for some reason making that input useless. Also, center channel feed seems to bleed into the front left & right speakers which is quite annoying. Lastly, the A/V sync is horrible with lip sync way off. Constantly have to adjust the A/V Sync. Get what you pay for.

Lasted less than 6 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this unit for about 6 months. About a week after buying it, it started acting up.it would turn itself on for a few seconds everytime I turned it off. About a month ago it stopped working with my main cable remote. Well, the other day this thing got worse. I had to turn it on and off several times and change the input to get any sound from it. Once I got sound it was so low I could barely hear it. I used to listen on volume 36, now I have to put it up to 55 just to hear it. Very disappointed. I would not recommend this unit

Onkyo TX 5.2-ch Home Theater Receiver
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not sure what the problem is , but after spending hours removing old working system & installing new upgrade, the display would not light up, I could hear it click on, but no display. I will be returning Onkyo Receiver to local store, not ready to give up on it, hope to get one that works, depending on customer service, I would not recommend at this time
