I needed to update my older onkyo and I am very happy I chose this one. I chose this particular receiver for my room and set it up for some great sounding Atmos. Definitely loud enough for my Polk speakers and double sub set up.

Good receiver for 4K but doesn’t have a pass through like my old Sony. But sound is exceptional.

I bought this unit 6 months ago and waited to review it. I am very happy with the value and performance. The optical audio works fantastic with the smart TV I bought from Bestbuy. The audio setup was easy and I love having simple Bass and Treble controls on the remote. My good old vinyl turntable sounds fantastic with a preamp thru the aux input. It switches automatically from 5.2 to all channel stereo when using it. Nice touch!

We bought a house with built in speakers and the samsung tv audio connection was miserable. This solved everything and better than expected. All devices are routed through this and all my remotes work with volume. Easy to setup and install - SO happy with this purchase

A replacement for and old TX503 unit. Handles the power I want although I need to be around 65 to 70 volume. This might be because the front speakers aren't as efficient . I only use a 3.1 set up. It's doing the job well. Good clarity. Mated with a trio of awesome B&W m1 speakers and a Polk 10" sub, the sound is excellent, both theatre ambiance for movies, particularly for music and remastered music sources. Very satisfied

Easy to set up.. serves the purpose well for the price. And Okyo is good brand too. I have a sony in our room and we had this in the living room.. and performs the same way but sony is way kore expensive.

I reached a point where my Smsung soundbar was no longer producing clean midrange voices when watching internet TV movies. I like that this receiver has bluetooth and is compatible with Alexa. I bought this at my local BBuy store. I paired this with some Polk speakers and it sounds great. For an entry level Home theatre system I would highly recommend this Onkyo.

Works well as it should. Using 5.1 setup and sufficiently powerful for my TV room. The remote is intuitive and easy to use. Bluetooth working fine, despite some negative reviews. My only issue with this receiver is my Verizon cable box/DVR sometimes acts up and shuts down by itself; not sure if it's the receiver, but I didn't have the issue before. Will keep an eye.

I bought this for my house as it had speakers wired for surround sound. I hooked up and it all went well for about a year. During a movie, it "popped" as if a capacitor gave up and went into protection mode and never came out of it, despite my efforts. It was always used at moderate volume and didn't even have a subwoofer connected. I sent it off for warranty work. After 6 weeks, I checked the BestBuy's website and it said it was issued for a refund as it was returned. I was not informed about that but I ended up getting a gift card as the receiver was sent back to BestBuy as "Irreparable". I went with Yamaha for my new receiver.

Worked great...for 1 year. Right Rear (Surround) channel now has an unnerving popping sound. I'm concerned it will damage my speaker. I've tried everything, change settings, swapped out speaker cable, switched speakers around, it's definitely some sort of feedback noise coming from the receiver. THE GOOD NEWS: It has a 2-year warranty. THE BAD NEWS: Obtaining warranty service is difficult. After multiple attempts contacting Onkyo, I was told to bring it to an authorized service center. Great, EXCEPT the closest one to me is 2 states, 225 miles and 3/12-hour drive ONE WAY. Um...No, that's what we call throwing good money after bad.
