Great receiver. Bought it because my old HDMI switch gave out. Found this open box sale. Easy to set up, can hook up large speakers (and 2 subwoofers!), and has plenty of HDMI inputs to satisfy just about anybody (I happen to be using all 7 between all the game systems I have). From a size standpoint, this receiver is plenty capable for most people which have a modest size room. The internet radio works really well too and being able to connect to various radio stations around the world is awesome for someone like me who listens to foreign music. Two reasons for not giving a 5 star: 1. Just did a firmware update and it failed the first time which required a restart. I didn't try to bypass firmware update, however it looked like it was required before it would let me use my devices which is annoying considering other people use the device and may not know what to do in my house. 2. Prior to using this unit, I was using an AirTV box with Sling and for some odd reason it wouldn't output properly to the TV. There was an error saying the TV was not HDCP 2.2 compatible (which is true), however this is not an issue when the AirTV box was directly connected to the TV. I never looked into why because I had a Firestick which worked just fine on another TV. Did a quick switch and all was well.

I bought this to upgrade from a 12yo Sony. I wanted internet capability. The unit has nice clean power for my Bose 701 II speakers. There are 2 things I wish it had is A/B speaker selection and audio out for my cassette deck. I don't use it for home theater however. I love the smartphone apps and ability to stream music from my PC. Overall a very good reciever for the money.

Better have 4 or 6 ohm speakers. Grate sound awesome technology. 7.1 and 7.2 is just an additional output for a second sub. Both are the same channel. A 7.1 with a splitter would now be a 7.2 guess they get away with fooling us on that one. Over all it's amazing sound.

Excellent receiver. It has features found in higher end receivers. Sound is excellent. Looks good, has great component selections. The video pass through works great. You can play it loud without distortion or clipping. The instructions could be more precise. It took trial and error to link with my wireless network but worth the time.

I purchase to go out my new Klipsch speakers I'll probably regret not getting a better one but this is a great one for the money under $300 7.2 system with Chromecast built-in and actually kicks a 220 watts per channel
