Handles 2 speaker setups all the way to "7.2" surround. Good (and separate) EQ adjustments for main, surround, and subwoofer channels. All around very excellent. Only "complaint" is the front display brightness is not dimmable. It's not extraordinarily bright, I was just used to a display that was dimmable. Definitely NOT a show stopper though, this is a very good product.
