Excellant movie of going on an adventure and dealing with the loss of a parent

It's a shame that this movie's theatrical release was cut short by the COVID-19 shutdowns, but definitely get it on disc or stream it online. Pixar's animation is beautiful, of course. And the story is touching, as two elf brothers living in a modern technology-based world set out on an epic magical quest. Will they be able to complete the restoration spell and meet their departed father before the sun sets? Of course. This is Disney-Pixar, after all. But how will that happen? That's the adventure that's worth watching and rewatching.

This has to be one of the best I have seen from Pixar. Aside from the original 9 story ideas at least (those are always classics) this was just amazing. They took the typical trope of the parent(s) dying but like Frozen made it more focus on siblings saving each other but in vastly different ways. It's amazing and needs to be supported. It's unfortunate that this movie was released when it did and with the poor marketing. Buy this move on this early release and support the makers of this beautiful movie.

Absolutely stunning! Comedic elements, but fundamentally a serious fantasy quest as a whole family picture. All main characters grow from start to finish. It is easy to see them as just “human” regardless of whether elf, manticore, centaur, etc. Loved the unicorns as scuzzy scavengers. Really loved the Easter eggs to Lord of the Rings, Shrek, Willow, and Emperor’s New Groove. ( Those are just the ones identified so far. My family has seen it twice in four weeks.). Highly recommended.

GETTING MOVIES THAT INCLUDE BLU-RAY, DVD & DIGITAL CODE ARE THE WAY TO GO. I BOUGHT THIS MOVIE FOR MYSELF BECAUSE THE PREVIEW LOOKED LIKE SO MUCH FUN. THIS IS A STORY ABOUT 2 BROTHERS. ONE IS BASICALLY A NERD AND THE OTHER IS A FREE SPIRIT WITH NO PARTICULAR GOALS. MAKING A WISH ON A STAFF THAT BELONGED TO THEIR FATHER THEY SET OUT ON A JOURNEY TO FIX A WISH THAT WENT BAD. THE ENSUING ADVENTURE WILL MAKE YOU LAUGH OUT LOUD WHILE IT BONDS THE BROTHERS.

This film is the latest Pixar animated adventure set in a fantasy era where magical creatures used to have magical powers. Having become modernized the magic they once used became impotent. Two elf brothers who lost their father early in life are left a gift from their Dad, that requires them to believe in and therefore use magic again in order to get a chance to see their Dad again. Good lessons and great adventure awaits.

Onward is a wonderful story about two brothers working together towards a common goal. Being raised by a single parent can be a challenging experience for the family, often feeling like there is a missing piece. The film is entertaining, heartwarming and inspiring, as all of Pixar's films are. I highly recommend Onward to folks young and old. You won't be disappointed.

After seeing the previews was not sure how good this would be, But Pixar is usually reliable. After seeing this movie, it was really good. Have seen it 2 more times and still enjoy it. If you have not seen this movie and you like Disney, I would recommend.

This movie came out pretty much the week the COVID pandemic began in 2020 so it kind of got caught up in all that. I liked it. Tom Holland and Chris Pratt? Yes please! Also thought it was pretty funny with a poignant message and some emotional moments too.

Within seconds of walking into the store I was approached by a sales associate and asked if I needed help.Jordan was extremely helpful , not only with helping me find what I was looking for, but also with helping me make the best choice possible. A perfect shopping experience.

This is such a feel good movie and great for any kid who may have experienced losing a parent. Watched it with my little cousin whose Dad had passed away when he was little and after it was done he started talking about everything he’d want to do if he had 1 more day with his Dad.

The characters are well developed and the relationship between them is also enjoyable. The brothers have the right mix of sibling rivalry yet are also there for each other on their quest. It is also nice to see strong female characters that aren’t just traditional moms or princesses.

Great family film to watch during the holidays! Especially for the marvel fans liking Tom Holland and Chris Pratt this is a very funny film for everyone to watch and enjoy! Pixar has done it again with this film and I hope everyone will have a chance to enjoy this film.

This animated film had memorable characters a cute story and Unicorns. well they AINT pretty and on rainbows.... I love this film and have watched a few times already. A nice relax, smile and laugh film with heart

I bought this movie as a gift for my daughter and when we watched it, she absolutely loved it. She said that maybe she could the spell on her great grandpa but she wasn't sure if her grandma would be happy about that. I couldn't stop laughing.

We love the movie it’s on Disney plus But I need it a disk because the internet goes out and there’s no way to see this movies so I like to keep a copy handy the movie message was really nice my 7 year old enjoy it and understood the message

Onward is an epic coming of age tale that features two brothers on a quest to meet their father that also pays homage to the fantasy role playing drama in a fantasy world that has lost its magic in favor of modernization.

This is the best movie. It's like what "Brave" meant to girls and their Moms. This movie would be like what "Brave" would mean for boys and their Dads. It is so, so good!!! Have tissues!!!!

Very good movie. Very emotional and funny. A lot of fun for the whole family. Easy to understand what is going on in the film all the time. Never a dull moment where it will be boring to watch.
