Good when you cannot use wired connection

the system works as expected, signal still good even it is wireless connection, a little delay on the ring tone and the response you hear from the caller. I would think you should go with the wired unit if you could install it at your house, since I owned one and never have problem with it.

The device is good, phones are a little tinny. The only real issue is that the manufacturer does not tell you they want to have an internet latency (ping) of under 10 milliseconds, which is almost unachievable with any copper based lines such as AT&T U-Verse (except fiber which I cannot get).

Purchased OOMA to get rid of my LAN line. The porting process and overall experience switching to OOMA has been great, we don't miss the old phone service at all. Though I already had a wireless phone system which I connected to the OOMA I decided to buy the bundle and try OOMA's digital phones. The voice quality of the phones is just OK. I would still buy the bundle again though because of the integration with OOMAs advanced features (e.g. visible voicemail, etc.).

This device was painful from the start. Connecting it to my wifi took 10 attempts and ultimately required me to log into the hardware system level interface through a direct wired connection to the device (not something an average buyer would expect or be capable of doing). Next, we were able to make successful phone call, but on the calls after that the caller could not hear us. The day after setting it up, the device started flashing red and after HOURS with support and on the internet, I've been able to resolve the problem.

Higher cost of landline phones made me assist with switching my parents and doing research. Ooma was simple and easy to switch, notified us on every step there was in the switch of the number and even reached out through customer service to let us know if there were problems and how they could assist.

Fairly easy to setup--phones feel a little "cheap" but system works well. One warning--I had to replace my late 1990s alarm system because it depended on the landline, something I did not realize!
