Hardware issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Spent hours and hours trying to set this up. After trying everything multiple times assuming I was missing something, got on the phone with tech support. The unit had a defective activation code and was a “known issue”. Waited a week, got the new one, and handset’s wouldn’t pair. Again had to call ooma support. Ended up being a software update that they had to push through manually. Another know issue. Everyone I spoke with had been pleasant (although not knowledgeable until I got to the tech people) but the process was reaaaallly frustrating. Shouldn’t have been that hard. Made test calls and seems OK, fingers crossed. Only been a day.

Ooma phone a good way to cut landline cord
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to set up. Works the way it should. Calls can sometimes be a little glitchy, but a great way to dump the landline phone.

Crude VOIP Solution - More trouble than expected.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It took over 30 minutes on the phone with tech support to get it activated. A total waste of time. Once it was activated, sound quality was mediocre. Documentation is a nightmare. After a few days, unit disconnected. It would not make or receive calls. I have cancelled the account and as soon as I can get the box and repackage this junk, I will be returning it. BTW The keyboard is not backlight and nearly impossible to read. I believe there are other more refined alternatives available. All I wanted was a reliable backup for when cellular was down. In my opinion, reliable doesn’t seem to describe this device.

Worth Upgrading To
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Feature-rich phone, worth upgrading for. Must edit phone book on-line. Uses two NiMetal Hydride AA batteries, easier to replace.

Terrible to setup
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pain to set up. The app would not connect to the unit. Very poor information (no clue what Ooma is even charging me monthly as I never got to a pricing agreement). I ended up connecting through the Ethernet port and it took multiple tries to get it working. I almost gave up and returned it but after multiple reboots it started working (not through the app but through a direct connection to the Ethernet port).

Unreliable, overpriced for quality
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this a day ago, but experience has been quite disappointing. The device loses wifi connection multiple times, although wifi is perfect with every other device in my house. The only solution ooma has is to reset my internet modem and router which they dont realized pretty much stalls work in my home. I did this a few times. In addition it is difficult to sync contacts as their new app has no instructions on their old website and the agent said he 'took care' of the issue by telling me to add a 'name' to one contact and do the same to my 200 other contacts. Did not expect this from a device we bought from a store like bestbuy. This was not a random internet purchase. Painful.

The volume of the phone not loud when put in max
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Telo Air device is wonderful and save lot of money monthly. The only issue with my phone set is the volume is not loud enough when put on the max volume. I love the devices and recommend to friend to save money.
