In order to use this phone you’ll have to purchase their VOIP service. Can’t use with a provider of choice

Constantly drops wireless connection. Only works with 2G signal (not obvious in manual). Unit is positioned within 20 ft of router, line-of-sight, yet requires constant power on/off reboots, so frequently we installed a power strip beside it. No issues with previous Telo generation; but this model is unreliable and a constant hassle. You cannot rely on this phone.

    Great but VOIP has limitations.

The unit works very well, but VOIP has some limitations when it comes to faxing and authentication. For example, while doing taxes, the IRS has a third-party multi-factor identity verification. Some third-party verifications will not work over VOIP even if you port your landline over. Yes, I was able to keep my old landline number for a one-time charge. I have not used the two handsets for I was able to plug the device in my existing phone jack making all my jacks live after disconnecting Verizon at the NID box. So, all of my old landline phones work on the old jacks. Overall, the calls are very clear and I am saving $$$$$

So much better than an AT&T landline!

After years of incredibly pathetic landline service courtesy of AT&T, we finally heard about Ooma from a neighbor. We have now happily kicked AT&T (and their exorbitant bill) to the curb and now rely solely on Ooma. Great call quality, easy to use handsets. Overall a vast improvement.

    Ooma Telo Air 2

After two weeks of use we find our Ooma Telo Air 2 a vast improvement over our 20 year old cordless phones. The sound quality is greatly improved and the cost savings helped in our decision to change to a new VOIP provider.

The ooma is a quality device. The phone works on your wifi setup so there is no wires. Call quality is excellent and setup was fairly easy. The service is free but you do have to pay for the taxes which comes out to about 10bucks per month.

After all the hype disappointed in handsets.

Set up was easy enough just follow the instructions. Porting the number was easy but did take longer than I expected but I also was stuck with Century Link aka Qwest AKA Lumen. Have had to contact customer support 4 times in 4 weeks with weird things including handset 1 deciding it would no longer ring and could not be used to answer calls, handset 2 wound up doing the same thing both twice requiring shutting down base station, unregistering one or more handsets, removing batteries, unplugging handset chargers and then backwards. Annoying to anyone but me? Handset ringer volumes and speaker volumes are way less than adequate even WITH my hearing aids in. normal hearing aid settings for everything else needs to be over-ridden and turned up quite a bit to hear with speaker component. GREAT VOIP process but we also are on STARLINK with mega speed and minimum latency. The price is right monthly. Don't know if the business accounts have more reliable handset phones for sound, sure hope so. Would I still have done it for residential service? Yeah probably given it saves us serious monthly dollars in phone service. Customer service live despite being obviously outsourced overseas was helpful but 4 calls in 4 weeks to fix stuff that shouldn't be broken is at best average. i'm stuck with a mandatory "would I recommend this item" yes or no in order to post the review. The real answer is not without sharing in full my experience with this product and functionality.

So far so good! This replaced our old ooma box that died. I use this for my 2 little kids who do not have cell phones. I can’t complain, however, I don’t really know how to use the phone that well yet-ha! Just calling out and hanging up. The one thing I haven’t found is the pager button for a misplaced phone which happens a lot around here. Hoping it has one. Another reviewer mentioned some static/feedback issues with the phones and I have noticed that some.

Although it’s a big a pain ( it could be because of our internet was slow at the time of set-up) with Ooma to set up on the phone, there’s no issue as yet. So far so good.
